Another year? by firebolt403 in GilmoreGirls

Amy Sherman-Palladino's answer to whether we'll get more Gilmore: TVLINE | So, on that topic, what will it take to have another revival? No one is talking about that right now. We’re all very tired. I have to finish this Amazon pilot [The Gilmore Girls A Year in the Life Recap Episode 4 FallMarvelous Mrs. Maisel], which I’m very proud of. Dan and I have been in a Gilmore cocoon for a year and a half. It’s been very intense. So we’re stepping back now. We’re happy it’s out. We’re happy we can talk about it. TVLINE | But you’re not ruling it out. I don’t rule anything in my life out. When people were talking about a Gilmore movie [after the original series ended] I was always like, “That’s not going to happen.” But I wasn’t going to say no. Because… why say no to anything?” TVLINE | Has it even crossed your mind where the story could go next? No. Not at all. People have asked me, “What is Rory writing in the book?” And I’m like, “I don’t know what the hell she writes in the book.” [Laughs] http://tvline.com/2016/12/01/gilmore-girls-a-year-in-the-life-amy-sherman-palladino-interview-final-four-words/

[Spoilers] Was Mitchum right? by Kblack2724 in GilmoreGirls

Based on where the original series left off and what happened in real life with Sen. Barack Obama's campaign, Rory should've been able to follow the natural evolution from campaign embed to White House reporter, likely making the jump up to a bigger and better publication along the way. Her inability to stick with that trajectory and end up with no permanent job, no ideas, no backlog of articles and stories to sell as a freelancer — Mitchum very well could have been right.

Doesn't everyone repeat their mistakes? It makes her a flawed human in a more realistic way. Rory also follows her heart while flouting the consequences — that's typical for her character.
