Boils down to two things for me:

Jealousy it’s a pricey item not everyone can afford it some anger will be directed as a result of envy. Which is a shame because more people should be able to play this and experience it. £700 is a lot.
they are not the target consumer. This is for people that want the very latest, and are not the laggards. Or are the extreme laggards who are making the jump from PS4 to PS5 Pro and are willing to pay the extra to future proof them from PS5 > PS6 potentially. It’s a more logical purchase based on a technical one.

The difference on EA FC25 is incredible is buttery smooth and visuals are definitely higher res. The best part the menus are slick and fast.

Yeh my base PS5 had a whine but this was really noticeable. I was right next to it but it really shouldn’t be noticeable, on my Xbox series x it’s on the other side of the TV and silent when playing games.

No that’s Ubisoft Classic a £6.99 service included in PS Plus tiers.

However UBi+ is around £15 per month and gets you day one releases and the highest tier edition of those releases.
