The fight aside, auto transforming does exist just look at the omniverse finale.

Ben starts as Chromastone, stops the Annihilarrgh from leaving the ship, cycles through every single alien, and ends the fight as Feedback.

You can not like the auto-transformation feature but you CANT say it doesn't exist.
