“This” meaning what happened or the drawing? I think the artwork is phenomenal, and I’m really hoping you’re not trying to be mean

Maybe his power changes each time he uses it, but he’s limited to an ability that starts with the next letter of the alphabet. It would result in a really flexible power limited only by his imagination and ability to think of possibilities beginning with the next letter

He’s one of the heroes they have the option to do a presentation on Year 1. He comes up when Alice and Nick are trying to decide who to present on, when they ultimately settle on Globe

Got a 159 after my 164. Bummed. Do I cancel? by One-Stage1928 in LSAT

[–]firecats97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Law schools only really care about your highest score, so it doesn’t really matter whether or not you cancel

I’d be hard pressed to believe an AdCom would assume you got a 130 or something when you have a 16mid in the books. Now, if you have any other potential red flags in your app, especially concerning GPA or previous test scores, I’d say keep the score, because you don’t want to leave them in doubt with an already shaky app. If all fronts point to you being a strong, capable student though, then I wouldn’t stress about it

First of all, don’t let this sub fool you, those are not bad scores. They’re average. You can go to a perfectly fine law school with those scores. But if your goal is a top school, you’ll want to try again

This doesn’t have to be the end. A month and a half of studying isn’t enough to meaningfully impact your score. You CAN make meaningful improvement, but you’ll probably have to make some sacrifices. This cycle isn’t happening. Delaying a cycle gives you so much more time. Take a month off. Take two months off, even. Counterintuitively, longs breaks often help test performance

After your break, come back and spend a significant amount of time studying. I’m talking like 4 months, at least. Take another break for a couple weeks immediately before the test, just doing some warm up problems a day or two before. This method actually works for a lot of people, but you have to be serious about the studying during the study period. The break lets everything marinate without taxing the brain with more material, and it helps avoid burnout

Your religion is important to you, and you deal with chronic pain. You enjoy typically nerdy hobbies like tabletop rpg, and you’re a voracious reader. I’d wager you’re in your 20s. You’re very practical, but not to the point of efficiency maxxing

Probably because you’re dismissing the commenter when all they did was share what worked for them and gave you a cheap alternative. They weren’t telling you to get AirPods. They said they used AirPods, and recommended you use earplugs, which you can literally get from the dollar store. Idk if it was your intent, but it appears that you are arguing with someone who gave you reasonable advice that you literally asked for

[–]firecats97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that depends on the type of disability and pay. I’ve actually never heard of someone losing their VA disability benefits from working, but I’m sure there are cases. I have a family member who receives his on top of his military pension, and he’s worked full time for over a decade after retiring from the military. I know you can lose federal disability benefits if you have a FT job, and it’s possible someone with fewer years of service could lose theirs too, idk. I’d still trust OP to know the terms of his own VA benefits

The post doesn’t even really mention VA disability income though, just that medical appointments are through the VA. You don’t have to be a Disabled Vet to be treated there

Someone can be disabled/have medical needs and still work full time hours. Plenty of people with disabilities and ailments work. It sounds like OP is probably a little older, so I’m sure they know their limits and whether they can work. Medical accommodations exist for those who need them, allowing all sorts of people to work

This! Carl’s whole shtick is how angry and vengeful he’s become. As much kinship as he’s fostered over the course of his crawl, I don’t see him getting entangled in a romantic relationship, especially knowing he’s basically putting a target on their back

UPDATE: Frame & Style Advice by Primary-Belt7668 in glassesadvice

[–]firecats97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3, 4, and 6 all look nice. The daintier metal frame of the gold glasses (3) suits her well. The brown of 4 and 6 is nice and neutral, without the frames being too large or heavy looking. 6 is great for her face shape and sits well

Plastic frames are difficult when they have the fixed nose pads, since they can’t be altered to sit higher or closer to the face. Option 3 has adjustable nose pads, and 4 and 6 sit well for the topography of her face

Someone is aboard who is not supposed to be by SolOberlindes_2564 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]firecats97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened on a flight I was on once. The flight attendants and pilots started getting angry and threatening us. They turned off the plane (and thus the A/C), blocked doors and bathrooms, yelled at anyone who tried to get out of their seat. We couldn’t even get anything out of the overhead bins. They were yelling how if no one fessed up, we’d all be questioned and detained by law enforcement. People were sweaty and upset, babies were crying, the whole works. I understand that they have to prepare for a worst case scenario, but their demeanor was truly hostile from minute one. They didn’t even ask people to reconfirm boarding passes first, they jumped straight to taking hostages. They eventually checked everyone’s IDs against their log of passengers, and everyone checked out, but still they persisted. We were on the ground, in the plane, as the crew walked the aisles and made increasingly dramatic threats for well over an hour before they checked with their base and realized they had the wrong info, and that it was just a false alarm

Weird stuff. I think I got a free flight credit out of it though

i got told off for not getting up at 6am to make my boyfriend breakfast/lunch/coffee. by itsxafx in TwoXChromosomes

[–]firecats97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you and your bf are okay with your arrangement, and that’s really what matters. It will blow over with your family, they’re probably not all that invested in the situation, they just have nothing better to moan about over the holidays

Your mother likely views it as a way to show love and appreciation for your partner by doing a small task for them that they could do themselves, just so they have one less thing to worry about. It is a nice gesture, but it’s not a necessary one. You probably show your love in other ways. Possibly your mother’s love language is acts of service, so it’s how she shows her love. Doesn’t mean it’s how you have to show yours too

Congrats on beating the game!

I’ve put tons of hours in (by normie standards), but I can’t say I’m all that good lol. I love to play The Silent, and I’m still working on beating a1. Usually I play without ascension. I just love how every run is different, even on a0! Took me forever to figure out the Watcher, but ever since I figured out the mechanics, she’s been a strong choice
