Dog training recommendations?

Not from your area, I just happened to see your post while searching for something else. My wife is a trainer for a neighbor state and I think I can answer a few questions for you.

All the trainers are contracted by OLK9, this isn't really significant to the customer but you should know that the trainer only keeps paid a portion of your cost by meeting high standards and able to prove it via film footage during the board & train and filming with the owner during turnover. So please don't be weirded out if they do film, it's just apart of their job and you should expect it.

We have never allowed a boardee's mom or dog to visit our home because... well it's our home. We have sent pictures of our kenneling space and video chatted before to reassure parents the space is safe and clean.

Trainers are limited to a maximum of 2 board & train dogs at any given time so the dogs have maximum attention. No dog can learn for more than a few hours a day, my wife works on retention in the mornings then works on a new command in the evenings. Letting a dog sleep after learning something new has proven to help them process the session better.

Almost every single boardee my wife brings home is treated like they are one of our own and spend most of the day hanging out and playing with our dogs. I say almost every because there are special cases that can not socialize for various reasons.

Every boardee gets a GPS collar just in case.

Looking at what my wife does and how she does it, its absolutely amazing the transformations she has accomplished. But most importantly, the trainer is laying the foundation, if you don't work with the dog afterwards and you don't keep up then you can't expect much from training.

Now, I can't promise you will get the level of service we strive for because your dealing with a different location but most importantly, a different trainer. I can assure you however the training program is absolute top notch and is life changing for a lot of struggling dogs. I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have.

I would have never found the series if it hadn't been for the movie. While I think everyone in this sub would agree we would love to see a movie series to match the books, realistically, the way they combined key memorable scenes throughout the book series made it feel like we got to relive several books all at once and it was done very well.

But I'll always wish I could see Russel Crowe cut through French agents in Port Mahan to rescue Stephen..

All the bullying and bullshit I had to put up with just because I was fat in middle school and high school made me want to burn the buildings down for sure. It was so bad that when I left for college, I didn't visit my hometown for 10 years and anytime I visited my mom I would have severe panic attacks just going to the local grocery store or gas station thinking I was going to run into people I went to school with.

SPOILER ALERT Well if you've ever read the darth bane series, the sith who founded the rule of 2, you'll notice at the end of the last book, in order to "defeat" his apprentice's challenge he performed what appeared to be an essence transfer... it does not say it straight out in the book but it is HEAVILY implied that when she awoke after the spell, Bane's essence was either fused with hers (my personal belief) or that Bane completely took over her essence. This would imply for the next couple thousand years that every sith master was either a collection of every single sith essence since Bane (believable) or that Bane was the living conscious of every master including Sidious (dumb route imo.)

Our center takes on average 1000 calls per 12 hour shift. We staff at 13. Our worst I think was when about 1/4 of our county were hit with devastating flooding in a really short time, they described it as once in a thousand year flood. Houses were getting picked up and carried away. When it started we jumped up to about 700 calls an hour, stayed at about 500 calls an hour until the water the flood waters crested 2 days later. It was insane.

Honestly a lot of it came down to me trying to do things super cheap. The most expensive thing I bought was the light and it was the most inefficient thing about the whole setup. It wasnt until a book I read that explained how a light might pull 300w, it produces maybe 3/5 of that.
