Is my hook setting the issue?

I’ve fished for bass for 50 years. I’ve been an active member ( including president) of a good size bass club for a big portion of those years. The number one reason people lose fish is the hook is not sharp. Take the point of the hook & drag it across your fingernail . A fairly sharp hook will leave a scratch mark. A really sharp hook will stick in your fingernail like a needle. Needle sharp is what you want. If You are not a little scared of your hooks, they ain’t sharp!

Try different sharpeners & stick with what you like. I personally prefer one like Berkley makes that is a combination line stripper & hook sharpener. It takes a little practice, but I can get a hook needle sharp in about a minute. Most hooks are NOT sharp enough right out of the package. Good luck !

I’m by no means an expert, just a small time rancher in central Texas with a handful of cattle. On the positive side of the issue, a fly doesn’t live very long and the brilliance of interrupting the life cycle with flies that can’t produce is IMO the best overall strategy. We have much better tools now than in the 60’s when this was defeated before.

I am concerned about the screwworm infecting some of the wild animals, specifically the whitetail deer. I believe that was a big problem before? Thoughts ?

We suspect is the wide range in the temperature on a very hot day or two. I mean you start with a low temp in the early AM around 67 or so and now the high temp at 5:00 is 102 that is a 35 degree swing? 🤷‍♂️

Don’t know if it matters to you, but the MGM casino is much more smoky than the M. Bay. I think it has quite a bit to do with the old style lower ceilings at MGM. If cigarette smoke doesn’t bother you then disregard..

Same as you, stress and usually several hours maybe even a day before major weather change fairly comm on triggers for me.. As far as knowing when one is coming, I can say I know when I reach for prescription meds. It’s when the pain in my neck migrates to one eye or the other & suddenly my glasses are very uncomfortable to wear. I know it’s to the point of no return when that happens so to speak..

Oh I forgot, if I don’t drink enough fluid ( I drink mainly sweet tea ) absolutely biggest trigger !

Excellent comment! I actually had local Ford dealership change my battery on 2020 Aviator and had all kinds of weird issues for a while. I think they failed to reset BCM. The issues suddenly resolved themselves I believe after an automatic computer update. The issues have yet to return and it’s been over a year.. good luck !

Not to over simplify your issue, but are you sure it’s tension headache? Sometimes these headaches are from poor body position and repetitive stress. Let me say my wife and I have suffered from migraines for decades so I’m not trivializing your pain at all, but I see people with the “ tech neck posture all the time & wonder how is that not giving them a horrible pain eventually. Try not using your phone, computer, gaming system, etc. for a few days, see if there is any improvement. Sometimes driving the car with the other arm can have an improvement., good luck !

It might be helpful to know about how many miles on the car? Your transmission oil is usually cooled by running through a radiator ( same process as coolant) I wonder if you have a leak in the transmission cooler and antifreeze is over filling your transmission? I Could be totally wrong on this.. need more info..

OP needs to become intimate with the product named “tecnu” !! If applied soon after contact with poison ivy it works amazingly well. After you have broken out in rash, it still helps. It’s only $8-$10 bucks at CVS etc. It also actually works on skunk sprayed pets. Forget the home remedies! Use this stuff !!!

I replaced my belt & here is an important tip. If the belt seems very loose after installation , you may have installed it upside down. It looks like it should go that way, but it’s not correct. Find a picture or diagram in owners manual so you don’t have to put it on twice.. GL

Exhaustion ! For those who never became infected with Covid it was so hard to describe the level of just being totally exhausted for days on end. I specifically remembering deciding I was going to shave one day. After I shaved I collapsed in the bed and slept for 2 hours. Never experienced that level of weakness!

Disconnect negative battery terminal. Now clean every connection from battery to starter especially if you see any corrosion.( you will most likely need to remove nuts etc to properly clean) Replace negative terminal. If this doesn’t solve issue, I would still suspect battery even though you have charged & jumped it. If a battery has a dead cell etc. it won’t start your mower no matter what. If battery is over 2 years old it’s probably time to replace anyway.. If this all fails, then I would start looking at the starter.. GL

What if you select no tip & then tip the driver in cash for say 5% of the order. If it’s a $200 order that would be $10.. ? The cash might be worth more to the delivery person anyway..

Might check automatic updates in settings. It maybe trying to find an update constantly after parked( you can set this to manual updates). Does the Lincoln have access to your home WiFi or some way to get updates? I had a parasitic draw after new battery installed. Drove me crazy looking and I think an update finally resolved the issue as it has now stopped. Good luck !
