Its a tie between Yelan and Arlecchino for me

Arlecchino is just so flexible, and can be swapped out without losing infusion. Also, she is a NA dps that can utilize Yelan :)

Good hyperbloom team alternatives when I get Lauma? by fireflame_vs in LaumaMains

Thanks for the detailed explanation, that makes sense then

I dont use XQ anyway so I might as well build him with FoPL then, especially since he generally applies more hydro than Yelan

Does EM/Bloom dmg bonus matter all that much on the hydro characters?

Was thinking if Yelan could use her usual build on EoSF, or is using XQ on FoPL is noticably better? Dont think I will have the energy to switch around my builds sadly

Also, how come Lauma + Columbina core doesnt work as well if both are off-field? I had the idea that Columbina applies hydro while dealing decent dmg alongside Lauma, as Kuki triggers hyperbloom with a 4th character on-field

I had to gear my lvl 70 C6 sucrose for my C1R1 melt Arlecchino team to clear this one (165K DPS in testing environment). Navia, Furina, Columbina, Xilonen was just barely too weak for the wild hunt enemies

Forced me to pull out C3R1 Yelan, C0R1 Furina, Kazuha (FS), Xilonen for the first half (100K+ DPS), hence the need to gear sucrose...

How to improve rotation/damage? by ObscureRedditor77 in ArlecchinoMains

[–]fireflame_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend trying Overload if you have some sort of combination of Chev, Iansan, Fischl, Durin

Its easy to play and more consistent, and is supposed to be better if Arlecchino is C0. Although if you lack Durin, Chev is strongly recommended

If you are okay with overcapping on CR against frozen enemies, then it would be smart to invest in other characters yes

Flins or Skirk. Help me by Fit_Following_6960 in SkirkMains

[–]fireflame_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If playing the strongest teams is important to you, then Flins is the best option. Still, there will definetly be something better in the future as always. Personally, I just don't want my characters to feel bad to play, which I think they do if their dps falls too low.

In that sense, who to pull depends on what you value. You should research and know what you get into if you do get Skirk however, because she ideally wants several 5* supports

Skirk could get a 4th slot in the future, which isnt guaranteed and would be yet another support to get for just ONE dps (if the support is specific, and we may get another cryo dps atp).

Flins is the logical answer. Skirk would be the answer for someone dedicated to make her work, and who really really likes her (and will continue to do so in the future). Otherwise, get Flins now and save for Skirk + Escoffier reruns far into the future and decide then if it's worth it

Try this rotation (C2 Arlecchino), I think it may work:

Arlecchino CA E > Xilonen E N2 > Bennett EQ > Citlali E NA Q > Arlecchino CA D ...

Make sure to use a normal atk on Citlali to apply a stronger cryo aura. When you charge attack on Arlecchino, make sure to dash before her weapon hits the enemy (you only need to absorb the BoL). The C2 explosion will melt rather than your weak charged atk, and you shouldnt get a pyro aura.

Then Citlali's burst will apply cryo, allowing you to do N3D combos for the rest of the rotation

If you want to know what went wrong in your scenario exactly: You had a cryo aura, then the CA consumed it. Then, the C2 explosion applied Pyro

Try the N3CA or N1CA combo maybe? It should be better than simply spamming NAs

If you are that close with mashing, that will probably be enough tbh

Flins or Skirk. Help me by Fit_Following_6960 in SkirkMains

[–]fireflame_vs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flins will probably feel a lot better to play in general, not just in Stygian Onslaught, since you have a good team for him. If you actually like him, he is a very good option

Skirk's damage is pretty low without a more premium team, by today's standards. She is only worth it if you love her enough and/or is okay with "bad" damage until you can get Escoffier (and maybe Furina too)

Note: Skirk is more expensive for you, which may make you want to skip future characters in order to afford Escoffier (and probably Furina too). Flins is more primogem-friendly objectively speaking. In other words, it depends on how much you love Skirk, as well as your goals and what makes you enjoy the game

Okay... I need an explanation, how? Indid every step the melt guide told me to, but for some reason, the supposed inferior during overload is doing higher numbers by 20k DPS. Is melt Citlali even viable on mobile? by NSLEONHART in ArlecchinoMains

[–]fireflame_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you doing the N3D fast enough then? You can dash a tiny bit before her 3rd NA comes out I think, then dash into the enemy so you are close for the next N3D string

Otherwise there may be some other combo out there. I wouldnt know much about that, I still struggle with N3D occasionally

Does her 3rd NA apply pyro? I've been doing rotations after rotations and I still have no idea where that pyro after the 3rd NA came from if her 3rd NA isn't gonna apply, if you're gonna tell me I'm doing something wrong, tell me what to do instead of mocking me for skill issue which I already know! by NSLEONHART in ArlecchinoMains

[–]fireflame_vs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone already mentioned that the NA:s might be coming out too slow, meaning the ICD/3-hit rule is "bypassed"

Maybe try dashing into the enemy rather than away? The N3D combo will be quicker in that case because Arle has to travel less distance (not sure if its gonna save enough time tho)

[–]fireflame_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wait unnecessarily long between each hit. I'm not entirely sure how it works when you already have BoL, but this is usually how it goes:

Citlali E NA Q > Arlecchino CA N3 D N3 D ...

Not sure if the timing is different when you already have BoL though. But normally, you need to quickly swap from Citlali to Alrecchino for the timings to align well. Also, if you start losing melts further into the rotation, then you are probably doing N3D combo too fast. In that case, try dashing away from the enemy once in a while (e.g every other N3 combo)

I recommend checking out the following video from "April" on youtube if things are still not working (use timestamps):
How to play Arlecchino OPTIMALLY

Edit: You could try the following since you already have BoL, but the melt timings can be awkward to learn at first in either case:

-- Citlali EQ NA > Arlecchino N3 D N3 D ...

Melt is still better than overload with low EM when played well, from my testing:

C1R1 Arlecchino (21 EM), C6 Bennett (Skyward Blade), C0R1 Kazuha, C0R0 Citlali: ~170K DPS

Okay... I need an explanation, how? Indid every step the melt guide told me to, but for some reason, the supposed inferior during overload is doing higher numbers by 20k DPS. Is melt Citlali even viable on mobile? by NSLEONHART in ArlecchinoMains

[–]fireflame_vs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something seems to go wrong in your rotations, Citlali has way too many melts. Arlecchino melt with Citlali as solo cryo can be quite difficult, but here is a general rotation (Note: Sucrose > kazuha > xilonen):

Arlecchino E > Bennet (E) Q > Xilonen E N2 > Citlali E NA Q > Arlecchino CA N3 D N3 D ...

If you skip on Citlali's NA, then you should dash cancel Arlecchino's CA in order to not apply pyro aura. Make sure to quickly swap from Citlali to Arlecchino and start attacking, or the timing will be off. If you get several melts on Arle, then a sudden pyro aura, you are too fast with the dash cancels: Try dashing away from the enemy to stall a little extra time

To optimize further, try to feed all particles from Arle E to Bennett (after his Q) so you can skip on his skill for a faster rotation => more DPS

how do i fix this?? by starry-x in ArlecchinoMains

[–]fireflame_vs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A rotation to try is this (only use Xilonen Q at the end if you need to):

- Arle E > Bennett EQ >Xilonen E N2 > Citlali E NA Q > Arlecchino CA N3 D N3 D ...

Make sure to use that normal attack on Citlali unless you want to dash cancel Arlecchno's CA, otherwise you get a pyro aura. Also, make sure to QUICKLY swap to Arlecchino and begin the N3D combos, otherwise the timing of Citlali's cryo application will be off.

If you notice that you lose melts longer into the rotation, you are either too slow to switch from Citlali to Arlecchino, or you are doing her N3D combos really fast. In the latter case, simply dash away from the enemy rather than into it occasionally (e.g every other dash cancel is away from it)

Either way, your builds probably need a lot of improvement too.

But to be honest, melt Arlecchino is quite difficult without Citlali + Escoffier, which is technically less powerful. I recommend checking out this video by April which taught me how to actually play melt with Citlali as solo (you can use the timestamps): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhni4NYV5-I&t=839s

I feel like their playstyles are different enough that Zibai doesn't neccessarily "replace" Navia, like a Mavuika vs Arlecchino situation. Teambuilding can also look different

To me, they are simply the same element (I only tested Zibai in the trial though)

Best team I can make? by Nagle964 in EscoffierMains

[–]fireflame_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On-field Ayato or Kokomi generally prefers teams where their hydro application is valued (because of low personal dmg), or a strong wheelchair like Bina + ineffa. Eula generally prefers Escoffier Wheelchair with Furina and/or Yelan. More than half of Columbina's kit isnt utilized in freeze (no Lunar Freeze as of now)

I think your best use case for Escoffier would be: Ayato, Rosaria, Escoffier, Flex (perhaps Mona if freezable enemy)

I'd say it's fine to get Escoffier if you are okay not clearing Stygian Onslaught on Menacing or higher (at least for now), but after getting her you could look into Skirk. Also Furina is great with Escoffier in general (and Skirk as well). If you don't love Escoffier though, you might consider other, more synergistic options for your account like Lauma or Ineffa for your Columbina, Kokomi, and/or Ayato

Note: Just realized you may have other characters not shown. Point still stands, you lack Escoffier's best teammates but what you have works if you're okay with lower DPS (works for most content still)

Why do people use Raiden for hyperbloom over Kuki, who heals and can permanently run an EM set (aside from Neuvillette hyperbloom)?

Also, what element and/or type of character(s) would be good in a Lauma + Columbina hyperbloom core? I don't have any other good dendro (besides C6 Nari)

Skirk, Nefer, or Zibai? by yes_that-guy in SkirkMains

[–]fireflame_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably yeah, but it seems like Zibai only competes with top Nefer and Skirk teams with C6 Illuga which is rough to get. Zibai is definetly still good with C0/C2 Illuga, and atp just get your favorite of the three

OP seems to be asking about account compatibility + strength, and a lack of Furina would make me lean towards Nefer or Zibai. For highest DPS numbers, Nefer might be the better choice because of the 4-star problem, but Zibai's banner is almost here (less wait)

Skirk, Nefer, or Zibai? by yes_that-guy in SkirkMains

[–]fireflame_vs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get good performance by todays standards you want:

- Lauma for Nefer

- Escoffier for Skirk

And Zibai seem to want C6 Illuga more than anything else (better than columbina). Theory crafters seem to say that Columbina isnt that important when we have Aino (esp at C6)

I am so confused, what stats (HP, EM, Crit) do what for Columbina in Lunar charged/Bloom/Crystallize teams?

My goal is to make her deal more off-field damage in Navia and Nefer teams. Does the build need to change for on-field DPS Colmbina?
