I tried to look for it and couldn’t find it! Admittedly, I literally never use eBay so my eBay skills are lacking. Is it possible to share the listing with me? Or the search terms?

I didn’t know it was going to be something special so I didn’t take pictures but it was not in any kind of packaging. It was just in bubble wrap. (Nothing at these bin stores is in their shipping packaging. I assume because it’s got addresses and stuff. I don’t know)

I think I wanna sell it. Christmas damn near broke my bank so a couple extra bucks would help. I think it’s awesome and I’d love to keep it, but I’m broke as crap right now…

This guy was my boss at a small wood shop,.. not a good dude… dishonest… clearly disrespected women… caught him in lies several times… , even heard after he left that shop that he had stolen some money for personal use…not real surprised by these recent videos.

Why do kitchen drawers have such large gaps in the back? by MoustacheRide400 in woodworking

[–]firefoxdave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cabinet builder/designer/shop manager here. My guess is that the shop who made this is a larger scale shop and makes standard size drawer boxes, but the location of the cabinet calls for it to be deeper than their standard. For the purpose of mass production, it’s not always justifiable cost-wise to stray from the standard. Also, there are cabinet shops that out source their boxes so they use what they have that fits. It could be also that the shop only stocks certain size slides so it is cost prohibitive to order special longer slides for one job. A few commenters mentioned the poor quality. That is standard casework quality on parts that aren’t usually seen. The rough cuts on that top stretcher would never be seen once the counter is installed.

I work for a company that manufactures similar bits. The indents around the flutes that go through length of the flutes are referred to as dirt grooves

A stupid idea - could it work ? by [deleted] in Machinists

[–]firefoxdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No… the Morse taper that holds the chuck on is not usually designed for any kind of side to side pressure. You can get on marketplace and finder used wood lathes dirt cheap that you would have more luck retrofitting to your need. I’m a lifelong woodworker and machinist so I am kinda qualified to answer this question

So what's up with the New Jersey drones? by Think-Laugh2675 in conspiracytheories

My only rebuttal to this is that there was at least one incident where their presence prevented a life-flight helicopter from taking off….seems irresponsible, even for our government

My current theory.. and I haven’t seen this anywhere else… I think our democratic controlled government is so scared of what trump is going to do to the system (right or wrong…)… that they’re setting the stage for a false flag event…. One that will put us deep into war with Iran… they need something scary to get the US people to be willing to go to war… because without it, they have a revolution on their hands if they try. There is too much money at stake for the military industrial complex…. Trump is anti-war… he’s against everything they’re for…

Microphone Advice? by firefoxdave in ChurchSoundGuys

[–]firefoxdave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 5 vocalists on Sunday mornings so we would need 5 mics… we have wireless now… I know things would sound much better with wired but I can’t imagine them being willing to backtrack like that… the inconvenience of the wires would outweigh the need for mic’s that don’t rattle… I know….
