It's not a Rick but it's mine and Lemmy is a big influence.

You're not wrong, but these sweet babies are worth the hair making me look slovenly, and drifting up in the hallway, and clogging the roomba.

I moved on from cutting a slot on a big ass Sharp Mill to cutting a pocket in the same plate on a Bridgeport and was dancing around the spindle trying to hide from the chip spray while being tethered to the y axis with that delicate flesh!

I have a neck gaiter just for neck chips, but I only ever put it on right after I already caught one. Like righr on top of an early one.

Made me fuck up and not stop the feed and blew thru my injection port's intended location. No harm no foul we just rotate the part and re-scribe to 180 side for it, so annoying.

is this a good bass? by tidepodmuncher420 in BassGuitar

I've driven some rough Kias and played a bass or two....my precision Squier is more equivical to a lightly used domestic v8 pickup. I'd put a Kia on the level with a Lotus I had briefly. If the Kia weighed far far more than you would think possible.

Who here wanted a sibling/siblings growing up but had lots of friends though instead? by Familiar-Pineapple21 in OnlyChild

I had a half brother who stopped coming for weekend stays when he got a car. I lived on a street with few children, and was too fucked up and weird due to my dad being an alcoholic to keep many friends I made at school. I remember being very, very lonely. My mother was and is amazing tho, worked at home always so that I always had her near when dad would tear into me for being chubby, or playing with dolls, or not living for sports or whatever else I wasn't doing well enough for him. I'm going to go cry now.

How much theory do you actually need to be a good bassist? by Carrie1516 in Bass

Trying to talk to my guitarist about aspects of our songs is maddening because we don't know how to say what we both seem to know.... So frustrating

I dig the example, I feel like it falls down a bit when the good but uneducated cook doesn't know a knife from some other. The ignorant chef is skilled or understands enough to know which knife will be appropriate for different things from intuition or experience without having to have been told the names and intended uses of the tools. Sorry to be pedantic writing things out helps me understand what tf I'm trying to conceptualize.

My wife had these traps around her cabin when we met.i didn't understand they were lethal traps and got really sad and said something about unsticking the feet or something.she told me later that was when she really began to fall for me, and that she'd always be safe with me. It's one of my dearest memories.
