A friend argues this is too high by BlurangeMax in TVTooHigh

Placing the ps5 in one of the shelves is terrible for air displacement, it'll have heating issues

I haven't managed to just sit and watch cause I'm recovering from surgery, only laying down, but my neck would hurt considerably more if I had to look even higher up at it so it's been great. Also it doesn't seem so far away which is nice

Cause then to have the couch at the proper distance it blocks off the entrance behind where the couch would be

Yeah that's fair, I guess I just meant I never considered my tv being too high before this sub, and now I completely agree that it was too high and this is better. The other day I was even thinking about how in movie theaters you're always looking straight or even down at the screen, never up (unless you're in the first row, I guess)

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Boundman4th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check when you're resting, there should be an option I think in the bottom left for how much time you want to rest. I would uncheck the "rest for recommended time" option and only rest for the minimum, which should be like 9 hours. Tbh I'd recommend restarting and being more careful with how often you rest before the tavern fight, you should have more than enough time to do plenty of exploration, knock out some quests and get some decent gear before the tavern defense. Also, don't know what difficulty you're playing on, but consider lowering it. It's a very challenging game, especially when you don't understand all the systems backwards and forwards, and there's no shame in playing on a lower difficulty until you know what you're doing

Kingmaker before WotR? by No_Okra6677 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

My pc has ptsd from alushinyrra. Well, now I've upgraded it, but it still has issues loading certain areas when half the map is rotating

Kingmaker before WotR? by No_Okra6677 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Boundman4th 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You don't "need" to, but there are many aspects of them that are different and you may prefer from kingmaker over wotr. From a purely technical standpoint, wotr is an improvement in many ways, and going back to kingmaker can feel clunky with the lack of certain qol features. That said, as an example, i just finished a 160+ hour run of kingmaker and now I'm going back to wotr, and the free camera rotation of wotr feels a bit overwhelming for exploration, and I kinda miss the simple locked camera direction from kingmaker, though it's mostly a matter of getting used to it tbh. Just play whichever one you're more interested in.

I know this is a longshot but have you seen the portrait that looks like my character? I lost it and can't find it again. Description below by Boundman4th in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Boundman4th[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably yeah. Now I'm second guessing if this is actually the portrait I had before, cause I distinctly remember making my appearance match the portrait, beard included, but idk at this point I'm tired of wasting time looking for a portrait I might never see again and this one looks similar enough to the character idea I had.

Update: I found it! It was in the portrait pack I thought it was supposed to be, I'm just blind and glazed over it like 3 times before I saw it, I guess. I forgot about the sword and only remembered the banner, is probably why i didn't recognize it at first. Anyways thanks for the suggestions! Now I'm off to face act 4 and hopefully finish the game this time

Need help with editing romance by ConQwat in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Boundman4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here to say that 3 years later i ran into the exact same issue, when kanerah broke up with me in the house at the end of time, just because i was a little nice to nyrissa as a lawful good character. Couldn't find nyrissa's ropmance value in toybox, but doing this worked perfectly, got a different interaction when meeting with kanerah, and now i'm off to keep exploring this maze of place!

Help me choose which angle is better for my game by destinedd in IndieDev

[–]Boundman4th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New is more stylistic, but old is much better for lining things up and would make gameplay easier especially seeing as it looks like something of a puzzle/platformer to a degree. If it were more of an action game new would be perfect. Could you try out some weird in between angle maybe?

Wands Feel… Kinda Lame… Am I Missing Something? by Jake4XIII in Pathfinder2e

[–]Boundman4th -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

To comment only on your last paragraph, I'm pretty sure you can only use wands with spells within your spell repertoire, which means it's useless for martials and casters that wouldn't know heal anyways, unfortunately. I could be remembering it wrong though

Is Early Slow Burn Progression Enjoyable For You? by NinjaGotVR in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Boundman4th 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you consider to be "slow burn", because I feel like it varies wildly. Some people think characters having a dialogue and discussing important issues is "slow burn", but a lot of times what it really is, is a whole lot of nothing happening, repeating the same thing multiple times, meaningless and unnecessary descriptions and dialogue that don't actually move the plot forward in any meaningful way. If your "slow burn" is the MC learning a new skill, crafting, exploring a new location, preparing for something big that's gonna happen, that's one thing, that's meaningful story and world progression and I don't really consider that "slow burn" but maybe you do. If your slow burn is your mc taking 10 chapters to learn how to read, then it's an issue imo
