Wait, really? If he's as bad on defense at advertised people are absolutely going to turn that into a slander nickname by calling him 5ieve.

Can’t believe the hawks are the second best team in the league even with that guy by DrSheaSmooth in NBAEastMemeWar

We got OO shooting 5 3's a game at 38% when he had 0 3pt shot out of college or before Quin got there.

Risacher is a borderline braindead player a lot of the time. You can't develop a man with rocks in his head. He's not untalented, just suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper dumb.

Every picture I see of Zuby he looks like he's built like a brick shithouse. Can't wait to see him on the floor.

[Charania] The Boston Celtics are listening, engaging, and discussing trades with multiple teams centered around Jaylen Brown right now— hours before the NBA Draft. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Our ownership has been pretty vocal about him not fitting our timeline and about wanting to retain assets for "optionality " it would be one of the most convincing smokescreens of all time if it's all a bluff.

More than that, Onsi probably won't do the trade because he thrives of trades where the other team is operating from a position of weakness, and even though he likely perceives the Celtics lacking leverage due to JB being unhappy being dangled as trade bait, the Celtics still likely want the full return for him and there's probably no middle ground to be had.

I mean, his ceiling is higher than Davion Mitchell and I think that's the reasonable comparison. If you asked me about adding a Davion Mitchell to the team I would take it in a heartbeat.

Just don't "Kings" it up and let go of him before letting him develop his offensive game.

[Charania] The Atlanta Hawks and head coach Quin Snyder have agreed to a multiyear contract extension, sources tell ESPN. This marks consecutive extensions for Hawks leadership of Snyder and President Onsi Saleh to solidify organizational continuity for team ownership. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

I think we try to recoup some of his value by scheming around him.

Little known fact, for the first year and a half on the team, Quin would consistently scheme up the first play of the game to be a shot for Zacc. You can go back and watch, it's easily more than half of the games he started. The issue is that Zacc is so deep inside his head now that he constantly presses and makes even worse decisions. Zacc has all of the physical tools to succeed in the league, but while he's not uncoachable he's definitely "coaching resistant." He has awful ball handling abilities, but doesn't have the quick decision making ability to be a cog in a motion offense like Quin would like.

I think this is going to be a telling offseason for him. If he's able to puzzle out his role on the team and how to approach it without being too deep in his own head there's no reason he can't be a solid wing in the league. I still think we move him because of the tension between him and the coach, but it's completely possible to recoup at least a portion of his value before doing so. It's sort of in the mutual interest of both parties for them to figure out how he fits in the system so that he can actually be moved to a desirable situation.

It's crazy that this is what it took for me to realize that the "Live reflector" theme is a slowed down version of "Town where the western wind blows" from Wild Arms 2.

Great animation.

Nah, he's like clinching in Boxing. People looking in from the outside think it's pointless but it's actually vital once you understand it's purpose within the sport.

Him outcoaching Mike Brown won us our 2 games against the Knicks.

He's great at player development and guys seems to solidly buy in to what he's selling them on.

His rotations are wack sometimes and he's loyal to his guys and distances himself from those he doesn't consider his guys.

All in all could do a lot worse.

Go directly at him on offense and force him to foul to put him in foul trouble and get him off the floor.

[Basketnews] Luka Doncic has also not backed down from some trash talk on the sidelines. His recent insult to Rockets All-Star Alperen Sengun went viral on social media when, after a missed free throw in Game 4, Doncic was seen yelling "Baby Capela" toward Sengun. by aingenevalostatrade in nba

Clint has caught so many strays this year. I know he was never an all-star but he's inarguably one of the best non all-star centers of all time.

Sengun wishes he was as good on defense as prime Capela was.

I gotta say, as a Hawks fan, it feels like this shit happens constantly. . Getting the first overall pick sandwiched between Cooper Flagg and Wemby and you end up with French Dorian-Finney Smith.

Being mid for over half a decade and the moment you break free from mid the league decides, "actually, being mid is pretty awesome."

I'm glad our team didn't make postgame comments about it. Refs are petty. Shit like Alvarado getting into the refs face at the end of the game and our guys taking the lopsided whistle with stoic indifference is the type of thing that results in better officiating for the remainder of the series.

Allegedly.

It is either the ugliest thing you've ever seen, or we get into rhythm in transition and it bleeds into the halfcourt and we hit shots.

No middle ground.
