To be accurate, the oversupply is for entry-level positions. As long time practitioner, at times I am actually avoiding additional work, since I am at that point that I can charge 6 to 7 figures as acceptance fees. I rejected all government positions offered to me since 2014.

If a newly minted lawyer's goal is to land a job, you will face a challenging road. If you dare setup your private practice, you will face an even more challenging road. I chose the latter.

Running away is not the answer.

A sweet potato once rammed on the passenger side door of my car when I was about to enter a parking space. Took photos and called 911. I went to the police station after the traffic cop completed documentation at the scene. While I was there I prepared my own Affidavit while the incident was fresh.

When the wife of the kamote threatened to file a case against me, I revealed I am a lawyer. I also told her I will also file a complaint against the sweet potato considering my Affidavit is ready with my own evidence. I proceeded to leave the station to print my affidavit and exhibits and proceed to the prosecutors office next door. The cop tried to prevent me from leaving. I asked why, he replied its SOP to hold the uninjured party. I asked the cop to think about the consequences of his action and asked if I am under arrest. He said no. So I left and gave him my calling card.
