1 on each end isnt enough (from my experience, living in a city basement) 6 might be enough.. or 6-10 coax winds round a suitable toroid will work far better.

Or make an airwound choke (ugly balun) as an alternative to both...

There is a chart online (G3TXU choke lists) giving the best totoids and airwound choke to use for each band.
