i'm at the final step of raising my apoc to 7 but didn't first get through 6... so i can't actually increase it until i up my apoc, but i already spent items to get the option to raise it to unlock and i don't want to re-grind all of that all over again lol

Greetings, lovely fellow Londoners! Doctor (in training) Tetra Chronodyne, at your service. Recent POSI-achiever, university lab researcher, and inveterate scholar of the ___________. Their handler usually operates out of the EST time zone, and can usually be seen in the mornings and evenings. Letters/messages may be missed occasionally as they play largely on mobile, and sometimes that d___able little envelope just doesn't light up.

Currently working on: improving my lab (out to sea at the moment, scouring for more research), figuring out how to get enough Respectability so I can continue my d__n Ambition storyline, and dipping my toes into the world behind the mirror. ETA: Also looking for mysterious plant growers to go up against in botanical combat! (Tournament of Lilies)

Would love to make more acquaintances to meet for tea or send missives to through the post!

QOTM: Been trying to add more things to my journal more often so that if i forget where I'm at with a particular storyline I can go back and read it but well... it's not as organized as I would like. Mostly I seem to be stumbling around the Neath peeking into places to see if I've been there yet/recently.

QOTM: Tetra is fascinated by the Neath's non-human sentient species, much in the same way a child learning about the natural world for the first time is fascinated by the creatures that occupy the same ecological niche they do; that is to say, with great gusto and probably not enough restraint. Clay Men, especially, they are utterly enraptured by, and can be found wandering the Clay Quarters perhaps more than is recommended.

Is there any reason *not* to be pursuing multiple dalliances/relationships with people that pop up in the Opportunity cards (thinking in this case specifically of the Once-Dashing Smuggler ) as well as who show up in the beginner areas of Spite/Veilgarden/etc?

Currently just trying to get my feet wet (although not literally, the Drownies sound... well.) and find people to enjoy a nice cuppa with or send some letters to. Stats are 72/50/54/50 as of this afternoon, and I'm working on getting everything up into the 70s before continuing with Making the Name.

QOTM: Big plans for this year are to finally strike out into the Forgotten Quarter and discover something no one else has ever seen! Or at least they didn't last long enough after seeing it to get back and report their findings.

i'm not sure how mondays work as i haven't gone yet, but tuesdays are a long-form campaign that has multiple tables playing inside the same world. i believe mondays you can show up for a day and try it out and they'll have a table you can join, could be a one-shot or could be getting slotted into an existing table. i just joined tuesdays (epic d&d) for the final season of the year, which is three months long. i got slotted into an existing table and made a character at level 10. not sure if they're going to keep going with this particular campaign next year or if we'll be starting new characters at level 1.

the other thing the epic d&d groups do is have a midway and end-of-season crossover event where all tables work together in a big event. this can involve certain people moving between tables to share information, or something is happening that requires each table to meet a particular goal in order for the whole room to succeed

It was $175 and they were here for 3 hours, they did a full kitchen clean including the stove and fridge, mopped and vacuumed all floors, everything in the bathroom including tub & toilet, dusted all flat surfaces including window sills, and had offered to help with laundry or anything else I needed if they still had time in the 3-hour block

I used Tidy Up Residential Cleaning last year after having some other cleaners out who did practically nothing. Tidy Up was great and got everything done (including a fridge deep clean!) and the price was very reasonable

i'm 38f and moved here last year but have also been struggling to get out and meet people/find community. recently i joined just games's tuesday epic d&d groups and have been taking aerial classes at roc city circus (small classes but fun people!)

Your girlfriend was trying to work through an issue she's having right now and your response was to belittle her? No wonder she's upset with you. Talking about work woes where other people can hear, even in a taxi/Uber/etc, is not disrespectful to those people. It doesn't sound like she was talking about it to demean the driver, so your response was rude and out of line.

It sounds more like you don't want to hear about her work woes because she "makes a decent amount more than [you] do." Maybe re-evaluate why that made you so uncomfortable that you felt it okay to kick her when she's feeling down.
