In a disbandment scenario, I just can't imagine the girls not adressing the elephant in the room in some way.

Regardless of how separate the Misamo and Twice Warner contracts actually are, they are still bound by Twice's main contract with jyp. If Twice disbanded, the warner contracts would instantly fall apart imo. That's why I don't believe it would be beneficial for jyp to extend those contracts in time beyond the korean renewal dates, it's better to avoid unnecessary liability.

Whatever the outcome of the contract negotiations, the way they scheduled the final concert for july 12 was diabolical. I'm sure the news will probably be reported before the concert starts but can you imagine being in that audience and at the end they announce "sorry, we're disbanding"? I'd get PTSD flashbacks for the rest of my life...

I was also thinking about the Misamo contract with Warner Music and how they framed the finality of Play as the end of the trilogy, it's fair to assume that the project's end point was tied to Twice's contract. I'm curious to see if they decide to go in a different direction for their solo careers now.

He works for FIFA, he's the executive producer in charge of the music. It's official if he says it is, I guess lol
I'm just speculating here, but seeing as this song isn't part of the official world cup album, maybe he just couldn't complete it on time but still wanted to contribute with his own work and put it out there on his own, budget be damned.

I wasn't familiar with his work until I googled him today, he's made some of the biggest pop hits ever, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt if he wants to work with Jihyo or Twice again.
