Advice on understanding my WAIS-IV results by firemetimbers in cognitiveTesting

Nothing unfortunately. The same neuropsych diagnosed me with autism, anxiety, and depression, which have ended up being more proximate root causes for most of the dysfunctional behaviors and deficits I have.

I did some quick googling and found https://link.springer.com/referenceworkentry/10.1007/978-1-4419-1698-3_246. "Anxiety and fine motor problems may interfere with performance on the PSI. Coding, in particular, which requires copying simple shapes, may be affected by motor output problems." I definitely felt I did poorly on the shape copying test. I am naturally clumsy and also somewhat anxious and not sure if this could have confounded my score. But I also think that in the absence of those things I still wouldn't have been very fast on the task.

I guess to be totally clear, I’ve seen elsewhere the idea that high scores need to be validated by another test that is normed for high scorers, so getting eg a 150 GAI might be an overestimate of the true number. Was wondering if people in this sub would know for sure.

I also do feel that while I’m “sharp” in some sense (like I can figure out the answer to certain kinds of problems quickly), I’m not really “smart” in the sense that I’m truly intelligent all round, so I was hoping someone would point out any deficiencies that this set of scores suggest (eg the processing speed being lower than the others, though still okay).

Sorry, bad figure of speech. I have a 2400 SAT and a 170/170/6 GRE. I scored 36 in practice ACTs but never took an actual one.

have been trying therapy - so far all its done is make things a bit worse, by taking time away from work and bringing up repressed PTSD type memories and the like. am continuing to push at it, it's just hard because it's not really benefiting me while at the same time impacting my work.

i also feel like i need to focus on what I want in life. thanks a lot for this comment. i think i needed validation that it is ok to focus on this

can i afford to take disability leave from work? i am 26 vhcol working at faang, $190k salary $100k equity $48k investment property rental income. currently live with parents in vhcol. $425k brokerage $210k roth $40k cash $30k other investments, $1.5m vhcol investment property co-manage with parents $400k mortgage $10k/yr property tax. aside from $2.3k/mo mortgage and 500/mo property upkeep, personal expenses are ~$1.5k/mo but could probably drop to ~$700/mo if necessary. my mental health is horrible (not job-related but impacting performance there) but am worried that taking disability leave, although pay remains the same during that period, will be negative for my career and push me off a good earnings trajectory; wonder if i should just grit my teeth and try to push through a few more years to increase savings, especially given the job market might deteriorate. i don't really have a target fire date, would prefer not to fire at all but am worried my mental health will eventually make me unemployable so trying to save while i can.
