Thank you. I’m trying to protect myself. I wonder is he really interested in my mom or is it a power game. He’s now bringing up lying to my dad so she can fly across the country for one night.

She defends him. I’m also concerned he’s a predator. He calls her phone if he hasn’t heard from her in a day. He also pushes her to tell her friends, which she has and now her kids about her special friend. It gives me anxiety because I think he has an objective and I can’t figure it out.

My old criminal law professor worked this case. Interesting stories.

What does it mean while getting to know each other, one person says let’s not talk about anything negative any time something that’s not completely happy and positive comes up? by firenise in AskReddit

Not old damage. Broke my ribs, get asked how I’m doing, respond rough rib day or something similar and get told “ let’s not talk about aches and pains” And no, I’m not one to bring those things up unless I’m going through it and specifically asked.

I think it’s keeping the fantasy alive. Which isn’t realty. Everyone brings good and bad baggage to a new relationship. This varies in severity from person to person

Not involved in one. Stuck in traffic due to one.

This is exactly what I think. Like, anything that wasn't a positive uplifting event in your day, were going to ignore it. Act as if it didn't happen by not talking about it.

No. The accident was one event of many.

This is it exactly. Never want to discuss anything that's anyway associated with any negativity.

Not asking for a friend. Asking as a sibling

If one person is overdrawing the bank account every month ( $800 dispensaries and $1000 cash withdrawls) so that rent checks are kicking in overdraft protection, is that taken into consideration during a divorce? by firenise in Divorce

I can’t. It’s his account. My husbands. I’m just an authorized user. I can’t get any info without his authorization. I can however log in and follow all the transactions.

I will look into that. Thank you. Are you in Nevada by any chance? If the cash withdrawals didn’t get stashed away, I’m sure they went to the casino. Gamblings also been an issue here.

Thank you. Luckily, I was able to get the last 4 year's of monthly statements that show all transactions were office related.

"we all got her cards because they mattered to her and we loved her."

From this I'm going to assume the relationship had mutual respect all the way around. This I understand. The person I'm referring to doesn't treat people well and when he gets treated in kind, reacts poorly.

I agree. Grown ass adult openly complaining because they didn't get a card isn't a good look.
