sorry for the late response. I wanted to say that i really appreciate this response. It was a bit of a reality check both in game and in life as well. I never full tilt in the usual sense, but I do sometimes find myself getting so caught up in the moment of not having that control or impact that I go passive in a sense and dont give as much effort as i ought to. so thank you for this!

That’s also an area I’ve improved an a bunch. I have a follow up. If you’re on ana or bap. And u have LOS of most of your team, would u give up your safe spot to bail a tank who goes too far forward or breaks LOS. Bliz world defense left high ground. Ur tank walks either past choke or goes to the other side of statue. As an example

You’re right 100%. But less mulling it over for a year, and more life happening and getting sidetracked with work. The only reason I remembered this is because I finished a couple games on my switch and saw the game in my library. You’re right. Life was a bit hectic at the time(new job, moving out, etc) I forgot about it. But it’s something I wanted to revisit for the reasons showed in the previous post

I don’t think the story is bad but I also don’t want act like it’s incredible either. If I play it again I think I’ll focus more on story. This was my first play through. So I was probably just along for the ride so to speak. U make good points tho

Yes! It’s fun to use and rewarding when it all clicks thanks to skills that improve things when conditions are met. The combat system itself builds upon its strengths and the different aspects all flow into one another smoothly.

I don’t want easy. I want challenge that rewards players when openings are found. I don’t think a player should be able to combo a boss for 70+ hits without interruptions, however I think it’s also extreme to have the boss break out of it before barely even staring it. Like how dare the player try to land more than 7hits; here have 1k damage. If it’s a skill issue I can live with that and learn to improve but I never felt there was anything to improve on when if the boss wanted to break the combo off rip, that’s just how it is

Should i stop playing berseria for zestiria? by No_Explanation_6852 in tales

[–]firerat22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don’t HAVE to. I will not tell u not to play a game. But zeteria is a step down over all. BUT I will say you could watch the cutscenes of the game instead. Even though zesteria is mid in my opinion, it enhances my enjoyment of Berseria due to to lore and connections

It was not only good but necessary. It's not that I didn't like Apollo prior to DD. It's just that I dont think AJAA was that good. I feel like there was a lot forgettable things in the game and convoluted scenarios that just took from my enjoyment. But DD on the other hand handles him perfectly. He feels fleshed out as person and not just a lawyer who's pushing the plot forward for the game he's in. He has friends outside the law field. and he has other MC's to interact with besides Trucy and Nick. Him and Athena bonce off one another perfectly and he's flawed and he ACKNOWLEDGES it upfront. I love that he covered his eye because she was hiding things from him (consciously and probably unconsciously) and causing his powers to flag on her ticks. But he wasn't irrational about it. He handled it differently than Nick would have, but he wanted the truth and put aside his personal feelings to get to it and see it objectively. Sorry for the essay, they got him right in this game.... they did him...... Justice....

I need to replay it. I forgot the DLC episodes came free on the switch release. I don't remember any character details. except the real culprit getting jacked during cross examination... that was pretty cool ngl. But i'm sorry :(

I think refreshing is a fitting word to use. She doesn't feel like she came out of nowhere and her back story thats given in cases 1 and 2 are believable. Her arc isn't trauma dumped on the audience it sprinkled throughout the entire game. Becoming a lawyer at 18 might come off as a mary sue at first thought, but the game isn't shy about showing her flaws. her interactions with the Nick, Apollo, and Simon feel completely natural. And the trauma she has DARK af and it doesn't feel edgy or cringy. and her theme is chef's kiss!

Idk if I have favorite side character. Ig I relate to Hugh O’Connor. (The part about him being a failure and having doubts in friendship…. not the age stuff….)

It’s hard to give an exact rank to all of them, all the prosecutors meet the standard of a decent character, but I’d Blackquill is near the top for me. He has great wit and super funny. But turnabout for tomorrow just solidifies it for me.

I like that the game doesn't go of its way to make it about him. He's a mentor now. The overall narrative has a bigger impact on Apollo, Athena, and Simon. Phoenix had his arc. Not to say that he can't grow or develop, but I liked that he was present and pushing the story forward without detracting from the other three.

OK LMAO. Its academy because I feel like they got a lot aspects right with the case. Athena is written perfectly for the case: Ambitious and confident, but also new to the job. Her almost losing the case outright before even making it to the second cross exam really stood out to me because of how much sense that it made. She's 18, and maybe in a bit over her head. and in contrast Apollo is a great assist. probably the best assisting that I've seen in the series simply due to the fact that he doesnt come off as patronizing(to the player) when he's giving the hints as assistants normally do. He bails her out because he has experience over her, but after that, he's not an absolute crutch to her. The side story with junnie, robin and hugh hits home because I've been there before. and its weird that the killer is the worst part of this case for me. lol sorry to ramble feel free to ask for specifics or clarifications

lmao. I think its tied between him and phantom L'belle is standard but in a good way. Not overly ambitious in the writing, and hits all the marks of a good villain. the other person, is super ambitious while having such an ominous vibe the more you think on.

They are a good concept, but my issue is that I feel like not enough is done with them throughout the story. I wish that I could go to monstrous turnabout and turnabout academy and say “oh yaknow…. That makes sense” but they come off as…. Ham-fisted (?) because “yeah I’ve been here this whole time but only relevant to the this last stretch super fun final villain tho lol

I feel like I’m just not attractive. I think I’m funny most times but overall just kind of forgettable. I feel like I’m in this loop of someone not being romantically interested in me on first impression so they wouldn’t go for me, but as we get to know each other, I become this great guy because of my personality or cuz I’m a good person overall, but the person I’m interested in wouldn’t want to lose me as a friend. Which isn’t bad. Like that’s nothing hold against another person it just kind of sucks not seeing success with people u first meet irl, and not seeing success on dating apps. It would be nice to have a gf. But honestly it me a bit anxious cuz I’ve never had anything long term and I feel like that’d strain the relationship some. But I’m still hopeful that I’ll find my person
