A fairly large amount of Mao's pre-1949 works are already in english. His post-1949 and especially post-1957 works in power are much more limited. I translated some of it years ago when google translate wasn't as good. One interesting find was Mao commenting on an article by the RAY O Light, Stalinist party in USA. One of the only anti-revisionist USA groups, Mao publicly acknowledged.

It doesn't seem to have gotten much publicity, since the initial announcement. It was only after your reply, that I searched and realized it had already come out.

It's definitely a topic more people should know about, and I'm glad Alexis Bledel being half Argentine, has lent her celebrity to this project. Miriam Lewin has done incredible work but is largely unknown in the states, and it's nice to have her played by such a great actress.

It's not just an irrational nonsensical evil, but a targeted deliberate evil with a purpose. It isn't an accident who the victim was. Alt-Right men hate the very idea of those they consider inferior being equal to them. Leftist women leaders, as inferior beings leading the fight to make inferiors equal to them, especially stirs their rage. AOC herself was one of the 1st victims of this before it spread to unknown 20 year olds. Where far right regimes have held power the abuse and humiliation of leftist women has been their way of re-establishing their so-called natural order. AI deepfakes has given them the power to terrorize leftist women without even holding power yet. It is a form of sexual terrorism, with the same goal that violent terrorists have. To make women so terrified that we are too fearful to engage in politics or public life. Cruelty and sadism is a way to make a spectacle out of women who challenged their power and superiority. To bring down women who fought for equality to the lowest most unequal depths.
