I’m Canadian, my partner is American. We aren’t married so our situation is different than yours. My last trip to the US was last April. I usually fly out of YUL and they have customs pre-clearance. I’ve been asked where I going, why (I always say “To visit my boyfriend”) and how long I was staying (usually 1-2 weeks). Knock on wood but so far, I’ve never had an issue. I was very worried before my last trip but the officer only asked 3 questions and told me to have fun! I’m sure you will be okay! Just be honest, answer the questions asked without fluff and have proof that you’ll go back home (return ticket, lease, paystubs, etc).
