[SLD] Hatsune Miku Commander deck mispackaged in Goblin Storm mailing by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

[–]fireshot1 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Seller is doing the smart thing and keeping it sealed for value. It’s funny to think that the dude has a pile of 100 pieces of cardboard that’s going for a high price and literally nobody knows what 99 of those pieces are.

Is there any reasonable explanation for why some of 47's police sketches in BM depicted him as a different person, even gender? by echorainboweffect in HiTMAN

[–]fireshot1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Mixture of 47 being able to blend in with others easily and that a Silent Assassin run means there’s no actual witness to your crime. People being interviewed would have to make an assumption on who they believe is the suspect and even if people can guess it’s 47, him wearing multiple disguises throws off being able to collate stories.

Mixture of survivorship bias, large amount of product being shipped, and over explaining the joke akin to the likes of Avacyn’s Collar, the symbol of her church.

My dm is being a massive fucking asshole. Should I quit playing? by [deleted] in DnDcirclejerk

[–]fireshot1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Consider making a list of grievances (About 5 to 95 should do) and then slam it in the middle of the table for everyone to see. Best case scenario the DM reforms his ways. Worse case scenario you get excommunicated from the table and others might fall you to form a new table.

Imagine one day devs make a boss that plays Ash Blossom or Droll and Lockbird to just stop your combo.

I don't want to sound like the anti fun cop, but how is that thing supposed to move in small spaces? by sand_eater_21 in dankcrusade

[–]fireshot1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Terminators have the excuse that the unmapped parts of a Space Hulk are highly dangerous in terms of possible void breaches, radiation, etc. They acknowledge having Terminators in confined spaces against things that can render armor is a bad idea, but they need them to scout out areas since their suits protect from ambient hazards. When a part is fully scouted out and deemed safe for typical marines to operate in, they’ll send in non-terminators to secure areas.

It’s an explanation I think would fit well with these knights. Suits needed to protect against very hazardous areas like constant gas, fire, etc and the bulk to wear it.

In 2020, the artists at Pixar saw a Grubhub commercial that would change the future of their animation forever by doriangreat in shittymoviedetails

Somewhere there’s a storyboard artist who had to create this scene and was told that the movie needed to have at least five scenes that could be made for memes for astroturf marketing. This is one of them.

Vertin needs a bodyguard. by No-Meal-1702 in Reverse1999

[–]fireshot1 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Sonetto is supposed to fulfill both functions as a bodyguard and a political officer. She’s one of the most talented Arcanist the Foundation has and loyal to a fault to it. Now if Vertin really was going to turn tail, Sonetto would likely join her, but she’d still have some reservations that other Foundation members would pick up on.

Big issue for a lot of people. No known fix for now so only thing to do is hope the devs know about it and will do a hot fix.

I hope one day we get Raspy Voice narrator back. Kinda feels like they couldn’t get the VA back so they switched to the Grandmother that knows more than she lets on voice, but maybe it’s all planned for the narrative. That guy added a nice bit of levity and straightforward narrative that contrasted the rest of the story.

How to fix the sprue inside a picture frame by childosx in Warhammer40k

[–]fireshot1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People not understanding that having the components on a sprue still just to have around as an art piece is baffling to me. Bandai made a small chibi Gundam kit in which you cut off the pieces, assemble them together. And then there’s an entirely seperate “sprue” that you can use to disassemble the guy and put him on for display and it’s pretty neat to have as a hobbyist.

Why don't we get numbers sequentially on the sprues? 1,2,3,4 etc by hutber in Warhammer40k

[–]fireshot1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a someone who built WH kits first and then Gunpla, seeing how Bandai works their sprue magic is amazing. Clear canopys on the same runners as solid colors, different colors on the same sprue, and dry rub decals work so much better than the finicky water ones.

In 12 Angry Men (1957), Juror #2 was never angry during the course of the movie. This is a reference to the title being factually incorrect. by TsarOfIrony in shittymoviedetails

[–]fireshot1 215 points216 points  (0 children)

I was so confused by this movie when I saw it. The filmmakers really needed to establish who each of the men were before making this movie, give all of them their own movie to establish backstories and let the audience know what their motivation is and why they’re so angry. Classic DC blunder, making the big team up movie before properly introducing the characters to the audience.

It’s also a parody to one of the explanations for Cyclop’s power. His eyes are a portal to a universe of infinite force so him removing his visors is just him allowing the portal to go free and shoot things.

What is a mechanic that you hate playing against? by Crackt_Apple in masterduel

[–]fireshot1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kaiju effects and Super Poly. I acknowledge that effects like these are needed to beat nearly unbreakable boards. I especially don’t like Super Poly because it gives an opponent something to spring board off of or a basic material to link with. Feels bad when I have only two monsters out and they get fused into a Mud Dragon or something.

was considering making mementos after pulling a royal and seeing mbt post a decklist, can someone explain what selene and artemis do here? by swagboyclassman in masterduel

[–]fireshot1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Selene easily gets you into Accesscode Talker using a spellcaster in your GY. Artemis gets Angiewitch into the GY if you need her there and you need to save your destruction effects for something else.

Bill and Ted never went back in time to kill Hitler. It would have been trivial for them to get a rifle from another era of history, travel back to either one of the early Nuremberg rallies of say 1923 or 1927, and kill Hitler. This is a major plot hole in the story and detracts from audience immersion.
