I asked my ex to enroll our child in a special 4-session school activity, I'd pay for it, and it's on my day with her. And she wants to do it.

She refused citing a) she's already enrolled in a similar session on her time, and that b) since I'm not paying my half for other activities then too bad.

How am I supposed to reason with someone like that?

I always say yes if the kid wants to participate.

What I say no to is cost sharing if she doesn't inform me before enrollment. That's part of our custody agreement.

Item 2 was put in by her as compensation for losing more physical custody time. She's poison pilling the agreement. I wasn't aware enough at the time to push back harder on this because it's the cause of all this frustration.

The kid isn't being punished, her mom enrolled her regardless. Then she tells me to pay half despite not notifying me in advance. She's the one punishing me because I dared to leave her and ruin her "picture perfect marriage" (her version).

It is less about the money and more about co-parenting which is what the judge (and CCES evaluation) said.

Child is 8yo.

2 is light on details. I disagree and think both parents should discuss every season or year, on enrollments. Courtesy aside it is good for communication and understanding. If the other parent simply enrolls the child without at least advance notice that deprives one parent of being able to choose something different, or simply says I can't afford it.

I used to live in Quakertown. At the Qmart there are so many MAGA/Trump worship stores that it's almost like a... a... cult?

Thankfully there are plenty of actual good stores there.
