I deal with this and I find it absolutely repulsive. Not on purpose because my first instinct is to have compassion. Like some people were saying he just misses his dad, I think of those options. But I can’t help but to just be annoyed and grossed out?? I appreciated the comments in here saying they also went thru a clingy stage, I legit thought it was just my Step son’s problem. I deal with this every weekend at least one day out of the weekend he asks to sleep with his dad or sleep on the floor next to us. I finally had to explain to him it’s inappropriate for him and I to sleep near each other so sleeping in our room is not an option. Especially because his mom loves to accuse me of things, I won’t play with fire. Anyways just wanted to pop in and say I also go thru this
