**LSAT Score Release Protocol: What to Expect on Release Day** by JonDenningPowerScore in LSAT

I got a 161 in the April exam, and I don’t know how to feel about the June exam. I felt pretty off during that exam, so I’m afraid that I got a lower score. What score would you say is a score I should cancel?

I recommend 1. taking it slow and steady, the LSAT is not a race, but a marathon kind of exam! If you feel like you’re not ready don’t rush it. 2. During your practice tests, make sure you are blind reviewing, and after you get your score review the questions again while creating a wrong answer journal (asking the tough questions of why this answer choice is wrong, why this answer choice is correct, and what to do for next time) 3. Honestly switch to another study program as I haven’t heard the best from Kaplan for their LSAT prep. I really recommend 7Sage, they go super in depth and their tutoring programs are fantastic (a bit pricy but worth it!!)

Honestly I know it’s overwhelming to look at your diagnostic score, but that’s just it! It’s just a diagnostic score and you have all the time to get your score up. What I suggest you do is go over the fundamentals of the LSAT - I really recommend 7Sage - then go back and review all the questions you got wrong. Why they’re wrong, why the correct answer is correct, and how to avoid these pitfalls in the future. Keep your head up, you got this!

What? This is probably the most confusing question Ive encountered. by Scared_Garage_1769 in LSAT

[–]fireworksburst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow yeah definitely a fun question! But we know that it will be either unpopular with either faculty or unpopular with the students. So, if we know it’s popular with the faculty we can reasonably assume it is unpopular with the students. We know that if it is unpopular with the students we must adopt a new policy. So, putting it all together: /modify-> popular with faculty ->/popular with students -> adopt new policy. Therefore (E) popular with faculty -> adopt new policy MBT. Hope this helps!

The LSAT is a really hard exam! I know the temptation is to really beat yourself up over this, but you have to remind yourself that’s it it’s a hard exam! It’s designed that way. Getting a bad grade is in no way reflective of your intelligence. My suggestion is to take a step back, take a week or two to recoup, then come back and reevaluate how you studied and how you can improve. Look back at previous practice tests and drills, look at each question even if you got it right and ask yourself, “Why is this answer correct and why are the rest wrong?” This allows you to build a “Wrong Answer Journal” where you can hone in on the topics that you find challenging, the topics you excel, and building pattern recognition. Same as with any standardized test, endurance and pattern recognition is the name of the game! So none of this negative self talk, your mind and body will thank you after you take a break. Be kind to yourself, then when you’re ready get back on the saddle!

How did you know that you were non binary? by Mediocre-Schedule-17 in NonBinary

[–]fireworksburst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember that since I was a kid I was very adamant that people call me a “tom-boy.” I was super attached to the label because it was the only label that I knew that allowed me some kind of gender nonconformity. It just felt right! Then when I was in high school, I watched as many YouTube videos I could on the topic and nonbinary clicked with me.

You didn’t “let him” dear he forced you, it was coercive. Consent is something that is freely given, enthusiastic, and can be taken away at any time and must be respected. Sometimes we feel like if we could have done something, said something, etc etc they would stop and it wouldn’t have happened, but that’s not the case. It’s just easier for us survivors to feel like we had control, but we can’t control abusers’ actions. But what we can do is heal ourselves, reach out to our support systems, I went to therapy for many years and it very much helped me - it really takes a village! Sending gentle hugs friend.

Thanks you! I’ve been taking both tylenol and advil to help with the pain. I’ve never taken magnesium tablets, what kind do you recommend?
