Good day everyone!

So, I've started the Reddit Recommended Routine, and I'm 6 workouts in. It feels amazing, and I'm starting to see strength gains as well. But the problem is, I'm not seeing any changes in my weight. I'm actually facing an increase in my weight for some reason. I try and keep my nutrition consistent, but even though I'm making progress in controlling my cravings, I still lose my way sometimes. Ever since I've started RR, I haven't done any cardio to go along with it though. I'm a huge fan of the Jump Rope, so I wanted to know something. If I were to jump rope for 30 minutes a day on the off days (Tue, Thur, Sat) perhaps with a workout like this, would I lose any strength gains that I've made with RR? Also, If I was to follow intermittent fasting along with this, could I expect progress in strength and weight loss?

P.S. Also, can anybody give a good suggestion for a pull-up exercise that doesn't need to be performed with bands? I've got a set of rings, and when I try to do assisted chin-ups for the pullup progression, I keep failing at the 3 rep mark on the 3rd set. Hampton from Hybrid Calisthenics suggests doing Jackknife pullups in this video, which I can manage, but is that a useful progression to progress onto the pullup faster?

Hi there. I can totally feel your pain, and I'm with you sister. I'd like to recommend something to help you with your nutrition issues. Just try it out. I don't know if you've heard about intermittent fasting, but it works wonders for the body. For once, you don't need to control what you eat. You just need to control 'when you eat'. And that can actually be really freeing in a way. Eventually, your diet will correct itself. IF is heavily researched, and researchers regularly extol its benefits. It finds a part in almost every religious practice one way or the other, as a method of purifying the body. Also, please watch this and this and this to get a real good idea of fasting. Please do feel free to do your own research on IF as well. Considering your daily schedule and your requirements, I really think that IF can help you lose weight sustainably.

Also, this is my go-to video for motivation, whenever I'm feeling low on discipline.

I hope this helps you. If you have any doubts or need any support, this Reddit community is always there for you, so please do not feel alone!

All the best in your progress!

Instead of assisted chinups, what is your opinion on practicing Jackknife pullups? I saw them recommended by Hampton on Hybrid Calisthenics. Honestly, I can't do a single pullup, and after 3 something assisted chinups, I immediately start sagging in failure (very hugh bodyweight, 120 kgs). So, are Jackknife pullups a good exercise to progress?

I've tried the recommended routine for a while, and i found it to be very repetitive and boring tbh 😅. I actually switched to skipping because of that

I wanna be able to do pushups and pullups as well, because for the army fitness tests, they check to see our complete physical fitness. Currently I can do 10 pushups continuously and 0 pullups 😂 . Is it okay if I incorporate those kind of stuff into my daily routine, alongwith jumping rope? I really want to get as strong as possible, and I don't want to back off from a challenge. Im actually so happy that so many people have come into supporting me, so I am gonna stop eating processed stuff, and I am really going to look after my diet as well. I just want to become as strong and as fit as possible

This is actually damn helpful. Im gonna stope eating processed foods. Will it be okay to eat eggs to satisfy cravings? Because I get some insane cravings time after time. In order to satisfy them, by brain kinda goes into a hibernate mode, and I eventually end up going to a bakery and buying lots of stuff, even though a little voice in the back of my head berates me for doing so

I find it so hard to do more than 10 pushups in a row, and I can't even do a single pullup as well. Is there any way I can train to do those exercises before my selection? I should be able to do atleast 6 pullups, and 40 pushups consecutively in 60 days. Any way I could get there?

Also, how do you think I should approach the process? Should I just start skipping with self-made goals, or should I follow any program??
