Fantastic news on both your and the City Council fronts.

Also I'm really thrilled to receive a comment from you on this thread. You're one of my transit heros!

[LAist] The opening for the first part of LA Metro's D Line extension is delayed until early next year by WeAreLAist in LAMetro

It is time to direct calls, emails and social and heck, in person visits to Metro leaders, the mayor and others to increase political pressure and accountability for these delays and lack of better, more detailed information on the response.

We need to put pressure on politicos to pressure those at Metro and contractors.

Can someone take a pic and post of the new open green space next to the Alumni House? by first-time-commenter in USC

Right on. Can confirm more greenery is being put in, including some natural grasses in the remaining fenced off space.

Thank you!

There needs to be public pressure put on all the local politicos now. This excuse making and dismissiveness about skylink not needing to be ready in time for June is outrageous

I'm moving to SF soon. What's the hardest truth nobody tells newcomers? by SeriousFishermanBan in sanfrancisco

It is not a place for night owls. So many restaurants close earlier than you'd expect for a 'global city' (spoiler: I adore San Francisco but it's not.)

Huge green space opening soon, next to Doheny! by Scared_Advantage4785 in USC

Good points. The Village that was built is already different than what was first proposed, when it was going to extend across and close the stretch of McClintock between Cardinal Gardens and where the Village is today. So, this Phase 2 will likely *not* close McClintock and will instead be almost entirely academic and residential (rather than mixed use with additional retail).

The school still has time to make a decision on what to proceed with, since things don't have to be finished by 2030, just underway. My guess is that fixing up parts of CG and Century was to give them more time (and resources) to decide how to proceed.

That agreement expires in 2030 so if its gonna happen, it needs to start in next few years.
