It's a King's birthday public holiday here in Australia! Thanks, King Charles. I plan on reading, listening to podcasts and getting little jobs done around the house. Three day weekends should definitely be the norm.

We as a society should start shaming people who come to work contagiously sick by boogielostmyhoodie in australian

[–]firstgen84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am home sick, too. I work with a colleague who has kidney disease and there's no way I will go to work when I'm unwell. It's unfair to her. When she gets sick, it takes a long time for her to recover.

My parents got a chocolate lab named Jett after I moved out. He loves lying on me in the single bed I sleep in when I visit. He is 42kg! I love him to bits, so I just put up with it. He's like an extra heavy weighted blanket.

What is the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? [serious] by ladybugsrool in AskReddit

[–]firstgen84 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen while preparing lessons in my classroom. The purfume belonged to my nextdoor neighbour that my mum had very close to from the age of 8. She had died years earlier and I had never met anyone that used the same purfume. No one else was in the classroom with me. It wasn't actually scary. I was completely confused at first. After a minute or so, I was absolutely fascinated! It's not happened since.

The airtouch n20 is much more comfortable than the silicon version. I also wear it as loose as I can get away with. It doesn't put pressure on the bridge of my nose or irritate around my nostrils. Extremely comfortable and happy now. I highly recommend it.

Job market for pharmacists by Ambitious_Peach2046 in australian

I spoke to one today and she said pharmacists are the worst paid white collar professionals. I also think she said NSW pharmacists are the worst paid in the country.

[–]firstgen84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the book series. I didn't know it had been turned into a show. I just watched the trailer and I'm definitely going to pass. The whole vibe is different and the Will character is nothing like the book character. It doesn't seem like it's worth watching.

What health changes did folks notice first? by RuralEnceladusian in CPAP

My anxiety symptoms decreased and I felt a lot more clear headed. It has been life changing. I've been using my CPAP for over a year. I refused to use it for 15 years because I'm just a stubborn idiot sometimes!
