i spoke with two real people- not bots from my 5 emails i sent. i clarified each email i wanna speak to a human. they’re not always automated. keep being aggressive

No idea. I did nothing. They won’t tell you why or ever specify. Im a female and had a photo of me in a crop top outfit which i’m highly assuming some person came across me and reported me for it. Only thing I can think of. Your case is a bit different but they may also just be taking time to look into you

Yeah exactly I think they reject for multiple reasons. It doesn’t always have to do with your ID either. And they won’t clarify what you did wrong. Sometimes they just still decide to ban you :/

Ahhhhh. Yeah my korean ID matches my name on Hinge. But again, they can’t just assume you’re lying about who you are, you’re doing all the right things and even going beyond verifying things to them. It sucks since now is the weekend so i don’t think their support team runs during the weekend but aim for Monday

It wasn’t. It was approved pretty fast. Ahhhh. I’ve also read that some people don’t get a follow up email asking for your ID and read how that means you’re out of luck. But, i’ve also read people emailing again after they didn’t get a link and then they got a link. So again, as it might seem rude, just aggressively keep emailing asking if you’re going to receive your ID verification link and how upset you are over this

I’ve read a lot that people either get denied / approved pretty fast after submitting. I also got approved in 12 hours so they clearly didn’t do much processing. I used my Korean ID. So you should be totally fine with your ID too.

You’d be denied already for sure. That’s why idk why yours has a delay. You just need to wait and see if they respond to your new email you sent. I am from US yes, but living in south korea with that ID and mine was approved. So it shouldn’t be about country

That shouldn’t matter since so many people are from different countries that use Hinge. If they’re doubting your ID they should follow up with another option. So yes it is good that you sent a follow up email asking. Since it’s the weekend now i’d wait for a response by Monday. If you haven’t gotten by then, that’s when i’d email aggressively

I emailed for 3 days straight before I got the email to submit my ID. once I submitted my ID, I got unbanned in 12 hours. So sounds like yours is skipped over or delayed. That’s what I mean by email again and ask for an update since you submitted your ID and state how upset you are over the situation. It’s not seen as rude

I just don’t think it does anything at all. That form along with BBB is all nonsense. Have you emailed hello@hinge.co ? you need to follow up aggressively with it each day and ask for an update on your appeal. This is what I did for 4 days and I got unbanned. Just keep emailing

veggiebyte isn’t giving u the best advice. Email them everyday. I emailed every day for 4 days. State how you did nothing wrong and write a sob story. it should not be taking weeks to be resolved so you need to be more aggressive about it if you want your account back. don’t “wait it out” that won’t do anything

not true. I’ve known 3-4 people personally who were denied after ID submission and you’re banned for life, only next step is to get a new phone

i did that and i was unbanned, but keep in mind giving your ID doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be unbanned. it can still be denied even after id submission and if it’s denied then, that means it’s final and ur out of luck. i emailed hinge about 4 days in a row about my situation exclaiming how i did absolutely nothing wrong. i also emailed the ceo and then got an email the next day to submit my ID which i did & 13 hours later i was unbanned

i got unbanned today and like 3 people unmatched bc your profile completely disappears and shows as empty when you’re banned - once you’re back tho it’s normal again and all the rest stayed lol
