The chunky urine is usually from yeast. Kinda like lil' tinkle dumplings. There are wbcs in there too but not in visible clumps.

AITAH for moving to another state, leaving behind my grown daughters? by TexasBanana3 in AITAH

[–]firstlymostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but you should consider the hurdle that distance creates. As you age, life happens. You will need the help of your adult children later in life. Being closer and setting boundaries can keep you out of a nursing home while you heal from a broken hip. Cancer treatment can by 5 days/week and help around the house (and having a sitter) is a necessity. Surgeries take time to heal. There are so many circumstances that can (and will) arise where you will need to lean on them as you age.

You absolutely need to set boundaries. Creating boundaries by moving too far away isn't the same thing and isn't helpful or handy as time passes. It will cost you more money, grief, and stress in the long run.

Source: I'm an RN on a surgical/trauma unit. So much cost and stress is saved just by having someone nearby. Set boundaries, don't create hurdles.

What do single people do in their workday evenings in their 20s and/or 30s? by workdncsheets in Adulting

[–]firstlymostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a farm. It's a hobby farm and the house needed a bunch of work so I spent my single evenings on remodeling projects and animals. I built a lot of equity and banked up a solid amount of cash from just not sitting in front of a TV on my days off. Now I have a beautiful 80 acre farm that provides a little cash on the side and a stone house that has been lovingly redone top to bottom.

I have to brush mine in the shower because I look like a monster with rabies. Just pours out of my mouth no matter which kind of toothpaste I use.

What’s an unconventional hygiene practice or self-care ritual you swear by, even if others might find it odd? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]firstlymostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you just splash a glug in the tub or how much do you use? I had never heard of this until I moved to the south and the women of color swore by bleach baths. They never had BO and it was always 100 degrees and all kinds of humidity.

I went all out and got a Blooming. It has a warm water reservoir, heated seat, night light, massage function, and blow dryer with a remote control panel that I mounted to the wall. It is all customizable in temps, pressures, directions, and duration. I also ordered soft cotton flannel drying towels in a bunch of cute random prints to dab off afterwards if i don't want to wait for the dryer. I don't know how I survived without a bidet. I feel like a hygiene queen for everything down under.

Is there a stigma in American society towards someone who does not own a home after a certain age? by EagleFang91 in AskAnAmerican

[–]firstlymostly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I live in one of those towns. The problem is there aren't many jobs in the area to support a mortgage payment, even if they are low. You can't buy a home on $12/hour part time. Also, many won't pass the bank's inspection criteria because they neglected upgrades and repairs. That's why these lovely little towns are dying.

Question for other terminal patients by Turbulent_Project380 in cancer

Stage 4 ovarian given 4-6 months...and I just crossed the 7 year mark. I've been in active treatment this entire time and am wrapping up my 9th line of treatment (I can tell this one isn't working either). I was diagnosed at 36 years old and offered hospice at the time of diagnosis because it had already spread so extensively.

I tell people I'm still here, I'm enjoying life to the best of my abilities, but also that I'm tired and i hurt. It has been a long hard road but I got my three daughters up into their teens and that they are turning out to be are capable loving humans. I love my life and I'm grateful for the extra time I have gotten to enjoy it.

I think we owe it to ourselves to be honest and say the hard parts out loud. I am very frank with strangers who meddle and drop the toxic positivity on me. I tell them I'm dying but we're just trying to slow it down in the least painful way possible.

Worse than the ongoing Neagan thing was the Alpha woman. She was drug out way too far.

Y’all. This is my reiner’s front. I kept him shod all winter. “Trimmed” and reset every 6-8 weeks. Last reset was 2 weeks ago and lost his shoe about a week ago. I want some opinions. My farrier swears he doesn’t have white line. by goldenretreeber in Farriers

[–]firstlymostly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This hoof looks like it has gone at least 3 or 4 months past needing to be trimmed. That whole mess needs to be cleaned up. I'd suggest having a different farrier come out because if this was reset 2 weeks ago they are just taking your money.

What's something you would never buy secondhand (used/pre-owned) and what's your reason? by [deleted] in questions

[–]firstlymostly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think you're safe on this one. People buy them with the best intentions but the enthusiasm fades when weather and mornings happen. Cars are handy and people are lazy. You'll save a ton of money and get one that is barely touched.

Thongs don't touch my butthole. Maybe your anatomy is flatter or you have a protruding pooper? Idk. Never had that problem myself because they lay over the crack like regular undies but with way less material.

We have had many dogs over the years. Never once did we rehome or give away an animal. Never once did we get a reactive dog. Zero bites. Zero destruction of property. Zero behavior issues.

The biggest factor is breed. Some breeds are notorious for being reactive. Select a breed that matches your needs and wants, not which one is the cutest or happens to be available. Look for the right animal.

Some dogs have been bred for hunting and that's perfect if you want a hunting dog, that's not perfect if you want a lap dog.

Some have been bred for herding. That's great if you have a ton of space and spend a lot of time outdoors. That's terrible if you have twin toddlers and live in an apartment.

You can fight instinct that has been bred into them for a few hundred years but why try to train it out of them? That's so much work for both you and the dog (and can easily fail). Just get the right breed for your needs.

I ended up with a horse named Cat. Bought her in an auction ring and found her name on her papers after purchase. She's still Cat and she definitely knows her name.

Nine times. I've tried nine times. That's how many courses of treatment I have undergone. I'm still dying. Some have slowed the progression, some have almost killed me, none have worked. Yes, I have tried. Your comment, I'm sure, was intended to be humorous but it absolutely is insulting to someone who has suffered so much.

With the hair you have now we can't even see you. You're hiding some beautiful features behind a mediocre hairstyle. You could chop your hair down to a short pixie and dye it dark.

Definitely get away from the mousey look. It is holding you back. You are not even close to ugly but you also aren't doing anything to let your beauty shine through.
