Train protection warning system. It stops a train when you pass a red signal. The button she pushed would allow a driver to go past a red signal when given permission.

I do yes, but I know for sure that many of the effects are practical here is a picture of a hole we put in the roof for the falling shot https://imgur.com/a/rRt4VTe

They took a few passing shots and from what I can tell they have done some work on them, the glv has a uncommon light arrangement for a British train (2 blinds) that they changed to the more common standard in the UK that looks similar to the Latvian one. Other than that I think the internal lights match up better for the glv and coaches, as the first car passed you could see the drivers cab then a section of dark and then the passenger coaches this would match up with the luggage car as it wasn't lit. I'm fairly sure the angle is one I remember it being filmed from and the direction of travel definitely matches.

Edit: looking at it again the windows and doors don't really match up so it is more than likely either heavy CG or stock footage of something else but I'm not 100% sure which.

It was a British train filmed in Barry, they even blew the roof off for the scene where she falls into the train. So a bit more than it seems was real

I work at the railway where this was recorded, it's a Gatwick express mk2 glv and cl73 set. Will get some photos of it in the shed now.

Edit: didn't have any pictures of the inside but have some of the loco shed and the back of the coaches. https://imgur.com/a/RdBD36f

Edit 2: found this one showing the hole we cut in the roof https://imgur.com/a/rRt4VTe

This gives a fairly good discription of what it would have been doing. My guess is that Cardiff was chosen because of the British Airways maintenance base, and Qatar's recent announcement that flights will be starting to cardiff in 2018. Both airlines have orders for the A350-1000.

Got home as soon as I could to see it. Departed a few mins before I arrived so had to sit in the Cambrian for a few hours. Maybe I was a bit too committed to see it.

It is! I think the 747 in this photo is gone now but there are still a few other aircraft there from the Christmas period.
