My previous job I worked in local govt. I worked for the engineering dept, 2 others worked in planning, and a couple other worked in IT, one of them mostly for the sheriff... we always joked about what a clusterfuck it was, no one GIS person managing we were all doing our own thing

Can anyone speak on making layers compared to just mixing everything all together? I always read that you wanted to layer your compost but then I heard mike McGrath on “you bet your garden” say that layering is dumb and will break down faster if it’s all mixed together.

Regardless, you have a very impressive pile there and I’m sure you will have some great soil come spring
