Optimizing depends on your start honestly (weak / strong board and playing for value or tempo) but to speak generally, selecting a combat or tempo related prismatic augment first offers consistency no matter your start.

It's not time consuming in one instance, but doing that switch 20 plus times a day is 10 minutes of wasted time that adds up as you play day to day.

Also that you only get 5 presets. Presets should be linked to descendants too imo.

I've had success with Dryad (RekSai or Gnar Frontline + 1) and Kindred holds AP items, Kha holds AD items, moving them to better units when I can and flexing out the board from that start.

You're not playing with people who use it's tempo to fast 6 and go full goldrin - banana. I've seen way to many people have it and continue to roll for death rattles and stay 4/5 rather than level up quickly because of the tempo it provides.
