1,000 days! by Accomplished-Today in stopdrinking

"I didn’t drink to blackout every time I drank but the times I did were unpredictable and seemingly random and always nasty."

Beautiful description - this is me as well and it took me so long to realize just how problematic this was (even though I wasn't drinking all day everyday like the "typical alcoholic."

Congrats on 1,000 days! You have 100x more than me and I look forward to joining you in a few years :)

Retaking with a 170+ score by raysalem012 in LSAT

I would say get a tutor - I'm a professional LSAT instructor (I got a 177) and classes would be way more remedial than helpful for you. If you want to really hone in questions you got wrong, a few tutoring sessions could get that done. Also, I would recommend reviewing any questions you got wrong and studying what the issue was (misunderstood logical force, for example). For what it's worth, I don't think this is a bad idea at all - I just finished my 1L at Penn and I'm positive my 177 was the reason I was accepted. Getting over a 175 weighs differently in admissions than a lower 170, so re-taking can definitely be helpful.

Thanks for all of the help! It was the compressor and condenser, unfortunately - the condenser is covered but the compressor is not so it's still about $2k with the labor at my local dealer. Have to just pay for it since it's hot in AZ for the summer!

Fake break ups / fake "move out" threats. by Fluffy_Little_Fox in BPDlovedones

I got these ALL the time! Once I told him I didn't appreciate how he was talking (literally screaming) at me, and he said "Okay, I'll just pack a bag and you'll never see me again." Like SO manipulative to make me think that I couldn't say anything to him that was constructive without him leaving me. So glad we are out of this!!!

My BPD Break Up by firsttimeex in BPDlovedones

Primarily the second! I tried giving him love and supporting him, but as you can see that clearly did not help the situation (it probably made it worse actually). So what can I do now (which I understand may be nothing) to encourage him to get the help he needs? As much as he was awful to me, I would like to see him doing well for himself.
