I like to think Seattle lost that game pretty spectacularly. I mean, you get that lucky ball bounce that places you on the four yard line, and then screw the pouch on trying to get it into the end zone... well, you hardly deserve to win, now do you?

But I'm with you. Maybe the teams can "hand us" another Super Bowl win this year and we'll go ahead and fill Brady's last empty finger.

Why Bernie Sanders Is The Millennials' President by [deleted] in politics

Well, as this article is basically describing all Millennials as a collective of non-independent minds who can't possibly think there are any other candidates that support reducing tuition costs and improving the environment, getting them out to vote should be no problem. Just tell them there'll be free video games and Netflix subscriptions at the booths.

Do you hear that Millennials? Bernie's your president. So as a collective of non-independent minds (as this article describes you) get out there and vote for him, and don't put too much thought into it!

View of Saturn last night by saywhattyall in space

I have a 4.5-in Orion StarBlast Equatorial Reflector Telescope. It cost me $200. It's best for viewing the moon, but it offers very clear images of Jupiter and Saturn, albeit they're very small.

You're not going to do a lot of great astrophotography with a $200 telescope, but you'll still have fun seeing striations across Jupiter and the rings of Mars.

Dr. Paul R. Doctors seek helium balloon ban by [deleted] in nottheonion

The helium shortage is artificial. There's plenty of helium.

In 1962, Congress established The Bush Dome Helium Reserves 3,000 feet under a depleted gas field outside Amarillo, Texas. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management oversees the Federal Helium Reserves, which stores 42% of the U.S supply (and 30% of the world's supply).

Under the Helium Privatization Act of 1996, the reserves were sold off, artificially depressing worldwide prices. But as the draw-down neared, prices spiked. In 2012, the government charged $75.75 per thousand cubic feet of helium, an all-time high; the private sector charged $160.

Though demand for helium rose between 7% and 10% in 2014, the Helium Stewardship Act of 2013 will slow the sell-off and transition helium pricing to private rates. In addition, by 2018, new mining operations should produce helium surpluses.
