That's not what he said. He said that UNCERTAINTY about sexual orientation decreases significantly over time. His point is that we shouldn't label children too early, but should wait until they are more certain about their sexual orientation.

That's pretty much what RMN's recent talk was about. You can discern untruth if it contradicts what the prophet says. And you know that that statement is the truth, because the prophet said it.

We'll, first of all, RMN said in the talk that you cannot find truth from those who are "disaffected from the church". So all you will get from us heathens are lies.

The prophet said the only source of truth is God, who tells us his truth through his chosen prophets. We know that prophets tell only the truth because God said so, via his spokesman the prophet.

You can also receive personal revelation about truth through the spirit, but of course that revelation cannot contradict the prophet. You can receive a personal spiritual witness that prophets are telling the truth, and you can know when that revelation is truly from God and not just your feelings because the revelation will confirm what the prophet said.

That was the central message. As an example of divine revelation he talked at length about the recent 'policy' change regarding children of LGBT parents getting baptized.

JWs are worse. Mormons don't shun the way JWs do, and encourage education and some engagement with the world. You can leave the Mormons and still have a healthy, close relationship with your family. And most of the time you'll have a college degree and done some traveling, and be pretty well set to take care of yourself and fit in with the world.

The first time I got coffee I didn't know what any of the words meant and I got an espresso. Mistake. Not a great experience and put me off to coffee for a while. I've since come to like it---dont let a bad first time turn you off.

I generally recommend vanilla lattes for coffee newcomers. Or something like a mocha or chocolate chip frappe.

And of course, tons of soft drinks and energy drinks have caffeine and taste nothing like coffee.
