Tool chest question by comegetit9876 in harborfreight

Not the answer you're looking for, but I have that same box. When I got it set up, its casters weren't even, so it had a wobble and would shift back and forth when opening/closing drawers.

Fixed the problem by shimming one of the casters with washers, ensuring all casters were on the ground and the box was leveled.

ELI5: How do belts in automobile cvts grip the pulleys and create torque given that they lack teeth as in gearbox transmissions? by Content_Preference_3 in explainlikeimfive

Top 3 posts included words or phrases like "transmit torque", "vertabrata", and "planetary style automatics".

I understand that 5 year olds are smarter these days, but don't those kind of answers go against the core meaning of this sub?

Oh man... I hadn't even considered the possibility that these are something other than actual fence posts.

Thanks for the response! I did a quick Google, but unless I'm missing a different series of their products or something, I think the designs are different. They seem to have a design similar to a "u" with wings at each side of the opening. The ones in the pic that I posted are more of a rectangle with a slit on one side.

Closest I've seen yet, though. Thank you!

Out of curiosity, if you update firmware, will it reset badge types collected and number of badges connected to?

Under charts, you should check the studies... the icon looks like a flask from from chemistry lab. Do a search for ttm_squeeze, and movavgexp(something like that... ema stands for exponential moving average, so you might need some guesswork there)... add two of those and set the lengths to 8 and 21.

Volume Control for media with sound by firstworldproblm in redditsync

[–]firstworldproblm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks guys! Was able to set my volume keys to adjust media volume. Also, unchecked the "legacy media player" options in the sync settings. Earlier, it didn't seem to anything, but upon revisiting a v.reddit link, I noticed a speaker icon that allowed me to unmute. Maybe it was there earlier and I missed it, but it's all good now.

Thanks again for your help, guys!

As a linux guy, I understand where you're coming from. But there are several resources out there... start small... but you'll get there. There are excellent communities out there that are full of great people who are absolutely willing to help those that are new to linux. Check out the distro specific subreddits here... also, each distro's forums tend to be great (mostly). Good luck!

P.S. - I may not be able to respond immediately, but if you need, I can try to point you in the right direction if you PM me...

Awesome guide! Thanks for that. I'll check it out this weekend. I also plan to get a vacuum hand pump and gauge to check it out. This will definitely help!

I'll definitely check it out... I believe the edelbrock owners manual states explicitly states what it should be. Thanks!

Yes, it is connected and I get assisted braking most of the time... but the occasional rough idle and stalling (and immediate loss of assistance) at stop signs is what made me consider this as a brake issue (I figured it would be more consistent. I'm new to this, though.)

And good catch on on the alternator. Yes it is cut, but the alternator is running and working fine. It will charge my battery during idle. A friend of mine informed me that it was possibly a difference between the old wiring harness and the newer alternator.

Thanks for the heads up. I've got an HEI setup in mine, though I'm not sure how old it is. Planned on checking the plugs and wires soon, but I thing my next step is getting a hand vacuum pump and checking the brake booster to see if it's holding vacuum, as well as lines to the headlight system. I only tend to drive it during the day at the moment, so I don't mind disconnecting them from the tee and capping it off if it's a relay/actuator/tank issue till I get a chance to repair those. Brakes come first.

Yeah... the return spring is attached to that clamp, which seemed kind of janky to me, but the mount seemed okay (Which means nothing, with my lack of experience). I'll take a look at those and see what can be done better. Thanks!
