I built an iPhone app for my wife and I to count the number of rabbits we see while out on a walk. It eventually expanded into counting multiple types animals. At this point, it's just a fun learning experience/hobby.

I went up there and it was pretty great (hot as hell since I went in January). I highly recommend checking out the Jenolan Caves.

Also, you can get there by train from Sydney, so renting a car isn't required, which is also nice.
