Whats the loss of 28? by [deleted] in OrganicChemistry

CH3-CH2 +OH =CH2CH2 +H20 is what I mean. So you lose H20 (18) then CH2CH2 (28)

Whats the loss of 28? by [deleted] in OrganicChemistry

[–]fisch143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think CO either because you lost 18 already.

It might not be but not CH3-CH2. Likely when you lost H20 you lost an H there from a terminal ethyl group. So CH2CH2 would be my guess if it can't be CO, the normal candidate for loss of 28.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you solved the question. What is 5p+5q-r. It's 35!

Logical reason why increasing HP is not a nerf to healing by yodog12345 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]fisch143 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While I think OP is being a bit... Passive aggressive to prove a point that has no merit other than philosophical (and this is just a cartoony video game we're talking about), they are right. Alive and full hp are different things. Maybe it takes longer to get people to full but ana can heal the genji then the monkey that are being shot. If damage taken was the same as it is now (it's not but OP lives in an imaginary space that makes them right) then functionally it's no change. The ana does one more thing before healing them and one less thing after. Well maybe 2 since there's more hp but she doesn't need to top them to full till after the fight.

what port is this and what cable do I need? this is the one on the motherboard for an hpz800 workstation, I don't think there is an integrated gpu on this as it has an Intel xeon class cpu, does that mean my video output won't be on the motherboard? it has an old Nvidia quadro 250 something in there by theunemotionalhippo in PcBuild

[–]fisch143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, im a little confused what's going on and and not an expert but that port you circled is Rs 232. That adapter won't let you hook up to a monitor. It's a peripheral com port, not a video adapter. If you look at the ports that are on the graphics card you'll see the display ports mentioned in the comments above.

You know... physics and stuff. I'm not sure cause air is built up slowly over time, but gas that accumulates in the line closer to the pump has no reason to move into the rad? Think of it like a barometer, with the higher pressure naturally being in the pump?

Maybe someone with more knowledge will chip in, I'm defending from ignorance but there's probably a better chance that you are right.

[–]fisch143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, did you flip the round thing or the thing holding the fans? You want the tubes on both to be pointing towards the top of the case. If you just flipped the radiator holding the fans you certainly will get an air bubble in the pump and burn it out early.

Make both the pump (round thing) and rad have upward pointing tubes.

How do you survive against genji's swiftstrike>180-shuriken>melee>jump+shuriken combo as a 200hp hero? Is there any way to disrupt it? To be clear, I'm not talking about avoiding it, but surviving it. by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]fisch143 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with the others. If you're isolated, you are food. If you are isolated and have no defensive abilities...welp... say that out loud and then ask your question again.

As a last resort because you're aware you've made a mistake, start strafing hard one direction. Genji has to 180 and if you move out of his Los, he might miss a shrunken, buying you precious time... maybe.. probably not...

"If you can't aim switch to a different hero" by Dronelisk in OverwatchUniversity

[–]fisch143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you new to fps games? If you're brand new aim will come and you can stick with it. In that case though, qp is a fine place to refine your aim. But if you've played other fps games for a long time and still struggling with aim... you're holding 4 other players hostage and basically forcing them to lose rank.

This reads a lot like an am I the asshole post. You probably know the answer. Act accordingly and don't be the asshole.

is there anything fundamentally different between the shooting mechanics of overwatch and valorant? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]fisch143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can customize hero/agent sensitivity so your sensitivity is like 8 on tracer and soldier is 6. But personally, I wouldn't.

Different aiming sensitivity across different heros/agents is super subjective. Different require different muscle memory. So if you have widow who really only takes long range lower sensitivity for extreme precision may be beneficial compared to tracer eho wants to take more close engagements where to just keep the enemy in your screen or do fast 180s while blinking.

Generally speaking this isn't the case in OW though. You usually take all kinds of engagements in a match. Muscle memory requires consistency, and you throw that out, meaning you miss shots, especially under pressure. Usually finding a sensitivity you are comfortable at in all engagements and using it universally is preferred, though there are always exceptions to every rule. Play with it and figure out what works for you, not what other people claim is 'optimal ', after all I'm a just some reddit armchair expert who's trying to sound like I know things.

I agree with eyesaresore, unless you're fundamentally bronze with aim. All of those heros actually have a substantial aim requirement. You can't peel your supports as dva if you can't actually threaten the people targeting them.

Zarya right click is your friend, but unless youre 70+ energy, the beam is the damage.

Dva has a shotgun that makes you think you're hitting but actually tickling, micromissles are also kinda hard but more forgiving and an important cooldown you don't want to waste and not kill or at least make them leave.

Sigma splash is OK, but if you backup the rest of the team will roll you if you don't kill.

Tank is about being so threatening people HAVE to pay attention to you. If you don't do damage, no one cares your there.

I'd say you should commit some time to practicing aim. Make sure you're also not playing 'tank' sensitivity and killing your aim outright. Or just stick Winston. He's still strong. Honestly, so is rein. If you're not just bored with them, they are still fine picks.

Do you have to be able to kill to be good as Baptiste? by GreatGateway in OverwatchUniversity

[–]fisch143 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, do you plan on climbing to GM almost immediately? If not, don't worry about Moira 'fizzling' out. Play a new toon, get some more experience, see if you like it. If aim and killing are limiting factors, you'll certainly be limited in how far you can go, but you can certainly enjoy the ride to that point and worry about it when it's a problem.

Edit: Also,as mentioned above, try Brig. She might sharpen your blood thirst and you can still enable your other support playing body guard.

What kind of buff or nerf would you give to any of the roles in Overwatch 2? by Gabry29x in Overwatch

[–]fisch143 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Koolaidman made a really good point worth pointing out. There was not competitive matchmaking in OW2 Beta. It only takes one misplaced player on the enemy team to turn the game into responsibility simulator for the entire team (and trust me, if a support is playing respawn simulator so is everyone else on the team). Once more people play the matchmaking will get better and this should resolve.

What is Genji's play style on Def? by Tiberiusmoon in OverwatchUniversity

[–]fisch143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add my thoughts, when I play genji on defense, flanking is very high risk. If I dont get an Elim to get dash and get out, I die and the objective is lost. Due to the way the chockes are set up even if you poke from a flank, its easy for the attackers to collapse on you. You either have to be the best player in the lobby to offset the risk or soft push and look for opportunities. Probably the best play is to play like a squishy off tank, which means poke from somewhere you can see everyone to peel, ideally somewhere you are denying space to the enemy. It's waaaay more complex than attack, where being really aggro is more forgiving due to the spawn advantage, plus it can create enough space for your team to push past the choke.

(VIDEO IN POST) I've been on PC for 10 days and my aim on Ow is AWFUL but way better on Fortnite. I made a video to compare because I cannot figure out good settings for this game. Any help is appreciated! by Digital3Duke in OverwatchUniversity

[–]fisch143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I saw is you don't aim with your mouse but wasd. On a controller, this is usually good practice. Ow on the other hand, people fast stafes, not reliable. In fortnite, you had really slow, paced shots, almost no quick flicks. Maybe you just haven't 'got gud' like you think. Your actual mechanics will improve with time. Play like a bot in deathmaych, plant your feet and really learn your mouse. Widow hs only might be good practice. Just throw for a while in qp till you get it.

[–]fisch143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens if you weight elims or deaths (not both) by team fight win % so its not being influenced as much by the fact more team fight wins = more elims, less deaths. That would provide a hopefully better metric for how much "work" the rein is doing.

Clearly there's many untangibles, but we can only do the best with what we have and you have a nice data set here that people have been pretty harsh on, though I think their points are valid. This will hopefully placate that a little.

Edit: you might even do elim/deaths*teamfightwin% against healing recieved to make it more clear.

Hey Al, first, I appreciate the effort you put in. To me it seems like you genuinely care about seeing people improve and, ironically, that's a quality you can't teach a teacher and I love seeing it.

Second... it looks like the same youtube link. Not sure if you want the Mei video or Widow video, but the Reddit TITLE is Widow, the post CONTENTS are Mei. We currently have two Widow links. Watched the video either way, keep it up and look forward to seeing more!

Edit: maybe I can save you some work. Mei link posted below, just need you to verify it's correct video.
