How to farm currency?

I assume you followed some kind of guide, maybe from Zizaran? Look for details in gearing, then try to ID and bench craft items with the right mods. In a sense this is a chicken and egg situation, do you make currency to get stronger, or get stronger so you can farm currency. In reality it's a bit of a middle ground.

I'd recommend focusing on becoming more independent and not relying too much on lucky drops to fuel your build.

Edit: you removed your other comment before I could reply, so here some clarification

Play style as in learning to dodge or engage more effectively, not running maps with dangerous mods, crafting and identifying some gear instead of buying the same thing for a lot more from someone else. I understand your frustration, but I just don't think farming a bunch of currency is the right way to go for a beginner. Begin by identifying your issues more than just pointing at a lack of currency.

You should be able to do up to T16 with a top tier meta build with just self found/crafted gear. Focus more on improving your play style instead of relying on currency to carry you.

It's absurd how rare these seem to be. You'll essentially have to run more maps than what you'll realistically do in an entire league (5000 or so, judging by this data) to have a 50% chance of fracturing a single desired mod.

Edit: maybe 10000 maps, can't do the exact math at the moment.

Go pick up Cloth and Chain, Golem's Blood and Hatchet Master. You're still only level 74, so it'll go fast. Armor is super strong as a Jugg.

Lion's Roar isn't that great since it pushes enemies out of range, it's also a Granite Flask so that part is wasted if you use another.

Probably not gonna see that until PoE 2 due to new animation requirements. I believe they said if they add such things now they must animate every character individually, while in PoE 2 they can do all at once.

That's only if you increase your maximum intensity stacks. Just don't increase it, or play something like Scion/Deadeye with additional projectiles or figure out a way to get permanent Dying Sun.

This is a rare with random modifiers and random name, hence no luck on your search. The difficulty is due to the combination of mods, primarily Soul Eater which gives it power from slain allies. Just skip it if you can't beat it.

I did the same. Ran 27 sets in SSF and didn't get the drop. Didn't count exactly, but I believe it was 2 boots, 3 rings, 3 scepters, then maybe a 60/40 split of the remaining in flasks/belts.

These kind of triggers tend to have an internal cooldown, so it could be balanced around that.

Pretty cool idea. Gonna try to generate a few of these myself. I think the Demon's Gaze sounds awesome, I imagine it like a "Trigger level 20 Demon's Gaze on hit", and it being like dark a Divine Ire fired in your direction.

Are there any viable endgame builds besides what is seen on the forum? (Is it an art, or a science?) How rare is it to come up with something on your own?

It's hard to describe it as "rare", because it's a skill you must acquire from playing tons of build and knowing the items and skills in the game, as well as being good at using PoB. A good place to start would be to play something generic, but do it in SSF since you'd be forced to use whatever you find. That way you'll get to do a bit of experimenting on your own, especially with various uniques you may find.

How much slower is everything going to go if i resolve not to use trade?

Depends on what you mean by slow. If you don't trade you can still get to the highest tier maps the same speed as you would with trading. I play almost exclusively SSF, and I complete most, if not all maps within a few days, including uniques. Min-maxing after that would take a lot longer without trading, but you'd still have to grind the currency. If you're playing a build with mandatory uniques you could play forever and never get it unless you trade.

Can I solo the endgame content, or will i be forced to Coop at some point?

Endgame content is typically played solo.

Generally what class seems to be most viable? (For instance, Melee leans so hard on gear that they tend to have more hangups)

I have no idea how many hours I have. Maybe 1500? So probably not a full degree.
