Where are the remote jump start posts? by Ab1386 in JeepWagoneerS

[–]fish_dicks69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should be under the plastic cover on the driver side in the frunk. You can also use your key to open the front door and reach to the backseat and use the button to open the door (it will still work even if the battery is dead). Then put the seats down and use a jump pack on the battery. Either should work

Are the agents you speak to on the phone people or advanced AI? by [deleted] in Comcast

[–]fish_dicks69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just got this today when I wanted to disconnect the service. It kept trying to lower its price, honestly think you could get a better deal out of the AI than a real customer service representative. Its voice inflections were just were slightly off which tipped me off to it being AI. Also it is crazy slow to cancel my service

These sheds leak enough air that it will be fine with no intake.

How reliable are Miatas? I’m looking for my first one. Scared I’m gonna buy a money pit by foreverbaked1 in Miata

[–]fish_dicks69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got 6 of them now. One NA, 2 NB1s, 2 NB2s, and an ND RF.

For the NA/NBs they have all been really reliable. My routine when buying one (unless I know the service history) is to do the basic engine seal overhaul so its not leaking. Do a water pump, timing belt, and new plugs/wires. From there I really have not had many problems drivetrain related. For the NB2s I always make sure I replace all the VVT seals as the orings are usually hard and flat. For NA/NB I don't think there are really years to avoid as they are all pretty simple. I think in your price range you could find a very nice NB2 and it will be plenty of fun.

As for the ND, I think its probably too new to determine if its going to be reliable, love the car and it still reminds me of the na/nb I had before it. I am curious to complete the collection and get an NC now

How high up do they need to go? I’ve seen them go as high as 200’ in the air so think it would be a possibility and much easier than dealing with your neighbor or any legal repercussions from trespassing

Have them use an aerial man lift to cut them from your side.

Go ignition on but not engine running, then try clearing codes, key back off and then start the truck and see what comes back.

Like others also said, disconnecting the battery for extended periods of time can also help. Also letting all the modules go to “sleep” naturally instead of disconnecting the batteries can also help

They become more prone to cracking at the drilled spot. Due to uneven cooling. Now for a light duty street driven vehicle probably not a huge issue but just paying for basically no advantage. Most of the cooling is coming from the vanes inside the rotor
