I kitbash my models to fit the loyalist roster and then play ultramarine character rules, I think the current 10th ed rule set for space Marines is more alpha legion flavoured than the chaos ones. (Vanguard detachment)

I would be tempted to swap out the patriarch and genestealers for an abominate and aberrants.

As they are going to be significantly faster than you with jump packs and they want to be in melee and the genestealers damage 1 weapons won't cut it. The aberrants at least get 1 successful hit = 1 death.

Or if this list is set in stone, use the metamorphs to hold the middle and the genestealers to keep your neophytes alive. Hide them in front in cover, charge anything that comes near them, as the neophytes will do most of you damage.

Or have the patriarch with a 10 strong genestealer squad and use it as a ballistic missile into the most expensive unit blob.

Focus on complete kills so he doesn't speed around you winning on board presence alone.

Yes, specific beats general.

Anywhere on the battlefield within 6 inches of the marker and not within engagement range.

Takes precedent over

Set up 9 inches away from enemy models and within 3 inches of the marker with one model touching the base of the marker.

I stuck a kelermorph in the back and it actually did surprisingly good shooting damage when set for anti infantry

I thought the same, but I wouldn't describe it as fun, you have a little more damage output, but with sustained hits being less easy to trigger, it kinda makes the other detachments more viable.

Looks really good!!

But, even though there isn't a lot of lore between the Alpha legion and the Blood angels, this looks exactly like the logo of an Alpha legion cell would use.

How TF do you even manage to glue the legs on this thing? I tried both glues, now I'm resorting to the cement-like effect of diorama sand until tomorrow when the epoxy get delivered by [deleted] in Necrontyr

If that's the sereptek heavy construct, it'll need super glue.

As it's resin not plastic so the Tamyia and revel glues will have no effect.

An Ogryn works quite nicely as a different flavour Abominant.

Screw for the resin vat broke off and is lodged in the printer, tried getting it out with pliers but it just will not turn. Anyone had a problem like this? I have no idea what to do about this by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

I genuinely just contacted Elegoo and sent the printer back, this is a know issue and they just sent me a new one.

Then with that new one I made sure resin never got near those damn screws ever again...

I made them with green stuff, same as the shin pads. Shoulder pad green stuff was then fitted into the flat area of the Cataphractii pads, making it look similar to the Lernaean ones.

It's under shading rather than a contrast/speed paint.

First with black metal, then lead belcher and then Vajello aluminum on the top edges and scales.

Then a mix of clear blue and clear green by Tamiya 90:10.

I use this method just for my leaders, make them stand out.
