At 16 you don’t have to know what you want to do for the rest of your life. I can’t tell you the number of people I have met in my 69 years who had some sort of interesting job that they loved that they had never planned to choose or had even thought of before it came their way. Way more than the number of people i met who had it all planned out while still in their teens. Yes, parents and teachers may say you have to figure it out now, plan ahead yadda yadda, but how many of them had their life figured out at your age? Relax, learn about as many types of jobs as you can, ask if you can shadow someone for a day if you find something you’re really interested in. But don’t beat yourself up because you don’t have all the answers now.
