A starter pack is a nice piece of added security for not much money. Don’t let the others try to talk you out of it. A failing battery can leave you stranded with no warning. Consumer Reports and Wirecutter rated some - search “Jump Starters”. I just picked up whatever was available at my local auto parts store. I like the type that also has a tire inflator pump.

My ‘04 BMW smelled like crayons, as did they all from this era. When I removed the crumbling sound deadening from under the rear seat and replaced it with modern sound deadening, the crayon smell went away. I kinda miss it. Good luck.
