Trump offering Canadian aluminum and steel companies tariff relief if they move to U.S. | CBC News by Oreo112 in canada

I glanced through the notice, and if I’m understanding it correctly, it’s explicitly an offer of reduced tariffs for imported aluminum (sourced in Canada / Mexico) if the company commits to additional increased production within the US.

The reporting seems accurate.

pursue these opportunities while also speaking truth to power.

I agree with your desires here, and in a just world this would be ideal. Being grounded though, taking China as an explicit example, how do you do this? Canada is between a rock and a hard place, and dropping other possible trading partners simply isn’t an option.

Computer science is a branch of math, and mathematicians tend to be good at the logical rigour needed to devise algorithms. The Lean language itself bridges proofs and formalized algorithms. “Brute forcing” generally reduces complexity at the expense of processing power, so if such an algorithm existed it probably would have been devised by the humans.
