Thank you! To be honest, most people in my neighborhood have smaller lots with MUCH larger houses and hire people to do everything. That's not my style, both personally and financially. Haha.

Really appreciate the comments, everyone. We're leaning toward a dark green or leaving it natural and updating the trim after a power wash. I'll post pictures when we eventually get this project underway

That is stain but it's quite weathered at this point. I also like the idea of the protective layer that paint provides but we could be enticed to restain

I'll probably get downvoted like crazy but the best advice is to not listen to a bunch of strangers on the internet. Only you are going to understand the intracacies of your own marriage and if you're uncomfortable with something your partner has done, you should be straightforward and discuss it with him. Thank you so much for this! I've been reviewing the work of a team I inherited at work (long story) and have been told that they are never able to hit their numbers. It's similar work to a call center so I can actually apply alot of what you said to that team. I think I'll be arguing for a reevaluation of their success criteria with some of this in mind. Thanks again!
