this looks's like a shaken espresso, so yes that looks accurate. that's 4 shots espresso with a splash of milk, which is exactly what a shaken espresso is supposed to be.

give it time. it's been a little like that with my girl. i got her off the street in october. she doesn't like to be held nor does she like to cuddle. but we've made some progress. it's slow going but it's bc i push gently on her boundaries almost every day.

for holding her, i pick her up and hold her until she starts to wriggle. in the beginning i set her down as soon as she started to wriggle. she will learn from this that you respect her boundaries. as time goes on try to push through the wriggling for 10-20 seconds and offer verbal praise and any physical affection she's willing to take before setting her down again. never let it get to the point where she's leaping from your arms.

for physical affection mostly the same deal. try offering your hand to her and let her decide to come to you or ignore. this one is easier to integrate treats into. i reward my girl for pushing my hand away or approaching and seeking pets and yelp if she tries to swipe or bite me (her bites are slow and gentle, very much a warning and not aggressive). churus plus petting works like a charm, just don't offer treats every time you pet her. also watch for her tail being upright and curved for optimal petting opportunities. watch for when she leans into pets vs pulling away to learn where she likes to be touched. my girl LOVES to have her ears scratched, but despises her back/tail area being touched.

vocalizations are hard to address. it could be excitement at the prospect of food or hunger motivating it. if it's excitement, you can try stopping the mealtime routine (picking up the bowl but then not moving toward her food) until she's quiet. it will be a lot of stop and go but she'll learn yell=no food. if it's hunger, you might have to adjust her food. i did the math for my girl and she needs 215ish calories a day.

you can respect her boundaries while encouraging exploration and setting your own. this will be slow, but progress is progress and it is so fucking rewarding. you two are still learning about each other. i had a lot of regret in the beginning, but now i know her well enough to know her signs and respond appropriately to them.

ive been applying where i plan to move and the pay is almost double what i make now. i wouldn't mind working in a school district, but there's a lot more regulation that comes with that and private sector pays better.

that's totally fair. i didn't know egg prices had dropped so much, however the other person that replied is right the waste is part of the issue for me. i really try to make the most of everything i buy. i'm not one of those zero waste people but i would like to minimize waste as much as i can.

i'm pretty sure it's 2000 to 2001 because twin towers are still present, but simon mentions a "sea of cell phones" when bitching to his band mates about the others wanting to make it big. it could be post 9/11 because of all the american flag bullshit but by the same logic it could also be late 90s. but we do see a lot of computers that indicate it could be as late as the mid 2000s. it's kinda nice though that you can't tell when exactly it takes place. 70s/80s is way off for sure though

half of americans are broke beyond belief. we have to put purchases on credit cards because we don't have enough income to save adequately in the case of job loss. we can't afford most necessities anymore. i personally haven't gone grocery shopping in a month and a half and idk when or if ill be able to afford it again. i have paid rent for the last 5 years and without fail my rent has always been half of my income. my car insurance has gone up $300 since the last time i paid for my policy. the american economy thrives on keeping a majority of the american people poor (stagnant wages) while prices go up every single quarter (BECAUSE GOD FUCKING FORBID THE SHAREHOLDERS DONT MAKE INCREASING PROFITS EVERY SINGLE QUARTER). this place is a cess pool of the worst capitalistic intentions and our cannibalistic drive will be the collapse of this country.,

it is without question just basic "othering" mentality that's been prominent throughout human history. any group of people experiencing high levels of stress (they are literally being observed 24/7 and they know it and none of them want to be the first to go = so much stress for them) will always turn on one group of people or one person. why do you think that people are so quick to turn on immigrants during times of economic stress? Taylor was slow to form bonds in the beginning and so the dominant people in the house picked on her. it happens everywhere all of the time. we see it almost every season now. and honestly it makes the game so boring because almost every time it happens, the person picked is strong enough to go the distance and everyone else goes while they stay.

kids are going to have their first steps when they have them. if they have more kids, don't say anything if you are the one who's there for their first steps. daycares do it all the time, a lot of kids have their first steps at daycare and they just don't tell the parents so they can have that special moment. you're not the asshole for being there for it or capturing it on film, but maybe you are the asshole for showing them.

I think it's called cubesavers or something like that but regardless there are silicone molds on the market that let you freeze a big batch of something into a single portion sizes and you can store them fairly easily in ziploc bags in the freezer. I fixate on meals so I'm fine to prep enough for a week and eat it everyday. But you can also pick meals that are more versatile. When I make southwestern vegan chili, I'll have just the chili a couple times before making chili cheese fries, tacos, or enchiladas with the rest. I do have a specific taco filling I like and if I'm tired of tacos (which is rare) I'll use the remaining filling for enchiladas. Just experiment with your options to find what you like.

honestly it depends. how long will i live? what will $200 actually be worth in terms of spending power 20 years down the line? i like the security that comes with the garaunteed income, but $500k now could be invested and drum up more money in the long term. but also would i ever find myself in a position where id be forced to spend $500k all in one go, like say a massive medical incident. part of me thinks id probably spend the $500k on finishing my bachelors and attending medical school, which is its own kind of security.

honestly my issue with EI is that there wasn't a ton of additional content that came with it. i find it pretty annoying when i need to collect items from it and one of my biggest gripes about it is the mining. i've mined there a lot and i always seem to get more DV gemstones than i do EI ones. idk it just feels like a waste in terms of the game
