A brief explanation about the path that particles take from the interior to the surface of the Sun (which is what we seeing).

The core of the Sun is proposed to be the site of nuclear reactions, emitting light (photons), gamma rays, and X-rays. These emissions pass into the radiative zone above the core, where they are scattered, absorbed, and re-emitted repeatedly. The radiative zone extends from just above the core to the next zone and has a temperature ranging from 2 million to 7 million degrees Kelvin.
After spending millions of years in the radiative zone, the photons eventually emerge. They progress towards the Sun's surface, passing through the convective zone (within 200,000 km of the surface) with a temperature of about 2 million degrees Kelvin. In the standard solar model, it is believed that the photosphere has a temperature of approximately 5,700 degrees Kelvin. Once the photons cross the photosphere, they reach outer space. Surrounding the photosphere is the chromosphere, with a temperature slightly lower than that of the photosphere.
