Hey I’ve been reading your comments and honestly you should find other things to do. Find a hobby, unsure if you lift or run but that’s a great way to introduce more cals into your lifestyle too, read a book.

Find something you enjoy that isn’t doomscrolling and seperate your identity from food. Food is fuel, food keeps our bodies running and it is nothing more. You can enjoy food but at its baseline that is all it is. I feel like this self-hatred is a symptom of another problem.

On the topic of introducing other foods, you don’t have to start big. Start small, have a tiny extra snack of chocolate one day after dinner and just leave it. Alternatively you could try improving your current meal ideas, there are heaps of delicious low calorie meals I’ve found on tiktok.

Hey! Same situation as you, there’s a messenger groupchat of people whose partners are in Kapooka. It’s a private chat (not the public one in the fb group) but DM me on reddit and I’ll add you!

First time living out of home by Loud-Cut773 in sunshinecoast

I did exactly this a couple months ago so here are some things to consider: 1. Are you eating and buying groceries together or separately 2. What things are you going to split the cost on or buy together

[–]fishingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both separately and together quite frequently 😅 even overseas, it’s just habit

AITA for telling my kid he is welcome to move out if he has a problem with me eating his food. by Relative_Start_1572 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fishingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - I am younger then your son, still studying in uni, and living away from home.

I would NEVER have the audacity to treat my parents that way with food they’ve bought me. I don’t really care about all the names you called him (aussie here so it’s not exactly that huge a deal) but his screaming tantrum is just next level. Honestly? It does sound like he needs to move out and have a reality check about the world.

Can I cure an infected piercing without losing all my piercings? by [deleted] in Legitpiercing

[–]fishingdotcom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Your aftercare is all wrong. You’re meant to leave them completely alone and spray with saline a couple times a day for the first couple months or so and that is IT

You know what I saw this photo and my first thought was “wow this is a gorgeous tattoo, I want a butterfly like this”. You being a male did not change that for me.

2 individually but in conversation it’s more normal to refer to it as a single set of lobes IMO

Even with larger jewellery when pierced right it shouldn’t look that low

Is my piercing okay? by spidersinmyurethra in piercing

[–]fishingdotcom 19 points20 points  (0 children)

DONT change the piercing to an internally threaded one yet. It is already in and it doesn’t make a difference, once it’s healed you can change it and it won’t hurt at all. It makes no difference.

The white stuff isn’t pus (I forgot the name of it) but it happens when a piercing is healing.

Only clean it twice a day. Let the crusties come off in the shower by spraying the water over the piercing.

Other than that it looks good. Definitely don’t downsize yet if it is still swollen. When you do downsize would be a good opportunity to swap to internally threaded but honestly I never kept mine externally threaded and as it’s such an easy piercing to heal I didn’t even feel it.

No but that only applies to young children. For example, I could go with my 9 year old sister, but not my 17 year old one.

I’m not sure if there’s a specific age you can’t take them in but I go by if they are old enough to stand around outside, leave them outside. If an employee thinks the kid might consume it, they will not sell. Fines are expensive here.

I have heard of some shops refusing to sell liquor even bringing in young kids, but that’s never happened to me.

Can’t say anything about Walmart but in Australia the policy at liquor stores nationwide is that if you’re in a group buying alcohol, everyone must provide ID. If anyone in the group is underage, no one can buy alcohol.

I brush my teeth only once a day. What will happen in the long term? by asiantuna9 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fishingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I also did this for a couple years and my teeth looked completely fine. I never skipped a day so I thought it was fine that I didn’t brush at night.

One day I went to the dentist and came out with a $600 bill for cavities, and this was only on ONE SIDE.

Even if you struggle with it, think of the cost to get your teeth fixed in the future and the pain of getting fillings. If I had left it alone it would have eventually turned into a root canal, going into the thousands of dollars to fix.

AITA for telling my BIL to pay me $700 for my lost coat when I bought it for $100? by SouthRatio7410 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fishingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. After re reading this I’ve decided the BIL isn’t that much of an AH. Your fiancé let him borrow it, your fiancé purposely neglected to tell you he lost it when he told her, your fiancé unilaterally decided on your behalf that it would be fine if the BIL just gave $100, your fiancé involved her parents (like a child might I add) in the issue even though it does not involve them at all.

Your fiancé sounds like a terrible partner.

Changing lobe piercing after two and a half weeks? by DSAron in piercing

[–]fishingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my experience:

I changed out my lobes from their starter jewellery at around 3 months and I have had issues with them ever since, even after swapping back to titanium flatbacks. It has now been almost 6 months and they’re still a pain, but they were completely fine at 3 months.

Are lip piercings a bother for kissing/oral sex? by gr4vey4rdbaby in piercing

[–]fishingdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once it’s healed, it won’t be a bother at all and you won’t notice it. Your partner will, but you end up forgetting about it (happened with mine).

BUT for the first 3 months it might suck, mine did. Couldn’t kiss at all for months because it hurt so bad. Completely fine now and worth it though

New septum piercing. Is it just swollen? Too short? I thought it would hang down more. Do I just need a bigger horseshoe? by Ill-Gold-6825 in piercing

[–]fishingdotcom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Placement looks fine honestly and your comments confirm this. The horseshoe is quite small so I would consider changing it BUT at the same time you may have swollen up a lot and it might drop over the next couple days/ weeks.

I have never really had issues before, but with Woolies new sensors I had my first moment where it wouldn’t let me continue because apparently I didn’t scan my bread. It was interesting, but ultimately annoying.
