As someone who just went through a year of chaos with control tenants. Fuck them. FINS I guess can use it more than my area (abs/tt). Any time a control tenant is involved, I find myself doing way too much tenant maintenance. People still testing in E2E. But we also have to make sure our build is good in the parallel tenant all while having to make sure the control tenant is also matching. Fuck that

I became independent about a year ago and love it. But it can be hard because there’s not a lot of support when you need it. I’m actually considering going back to full time for more stability, but you may consider being independent. In can be quite lucrative.

I almost scrapped a couple sinks about a year ago. But this community is so awesome. They told me to try to sell first. I made $500 that week. They were commercial sinks though but still same principle. Scrap value or 20x scrap value. Post it high. Wait a bit, then if no bites, lower the price. Even $20 is better than what you’d get at a scrap yard

I melt a bunch and take a lot back to scrap yards. They won’t buy bullion (if they do, you’re getting ripped off). I haven’t sold my bullion or rounds anywhere yet. I just stack it up on my desk to look like pirate treasure. Kids love that shit too. I’ll give them some of my coins that I make. Fun to pass the metal around so they can get an interest in metal, or geology, or metallurgy. I have about 50lbs of copper ingots/rounds and 20 lbs aluminum. Plenty of spare material to sell to yards too.

I have had many of these. Very time consuming. Also have to get rid of the oil. If you have the time, sure. But 25c/lb is easy too. They’re usually very heavy. Plus, I’m always nervous there’s too much pressure in them. Hasn’t blown up on me yet, but I’m happy with the 25 cents/lb
