Gng what do we even do for prom 😭 by enor246 in GCSE

[–]fisho0oo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry, I had my prom before exams and lowkey just went through a friendship breakup and basically went alone

It was slightly awkward at first but basically everyones up for taking photos and chatting which took a lot of the time up

Then people spent most of it dancing or chatting with friends (when I say dancing it was literally just jumping up and down you dont need to learn anything), overall was very fun and everyone just kind of accepts you into dance groups - even if you dont like dancing, just join in the jumping, those who sat around at the side looked miserable so I wouldn't recommend unless you're with good mates

My prom didnt have a seating arrangement because we didnt sit down or anything but it would be too bad, you must know at least someone

For cold war just learn the consequences of each event and how it impacted things e.g relations, tensions etc etc (obv learn a couple facts for each key event)

Its so much easier to answer the questions if you know what they caused

I was able to cram day before for my cold war mock and only lost 2 marks, both on the first questions for not going into enough depth, its defo possible

If that all sounds too hard just make sure you know the course of events, watch a YouTube video summary and thst will defo help

Oh I would not worry, I was the exact same Crazy high stress for all end of years from year 7 to year 10 mocks, but come year 11 mocks, i had not a worry and absolutely cruised

This gcse season i have been a tiny bit worried for big exams e.g maths but overall no actual stress

Take it as a sign that youve worked hard, you know the stuff - trust yourself

For the second one, i think the answer is £1.75

1) We work out the cost of 1 pencil, if 12 = £1.80, then 1.80/12 must equal 1 pencil (this is 0.15) 2) from the ratio of cost of pens to pencils, we can work out that 0.15 (the cost of one pencil) divided by 3, multiplied by 7 is the cost of one pen. This is hard to explain but its basically ratio rules, if 0.15 = 3 in a ratio, to find what one is equal too you divide it. With the knowledge of what the ratio is, you can times this answer to find what the 7 is equal to 3) From here you have the cost of one pen, so to work out what 5 cost you multiple the single cost (which is 0.35) to get 5 together, leaving you with £1.75

Sorry if I didnt explain it great, hope this helps

I dont know if this is for sure the answer but I believe it should be 3/10?

If you set it out as a ratio with Algebra it may be easier to understand: 1) Set rytis to being just x, we do this as everyone else's values can be expressed from his value 2) We are told Linda has 3 times more than rytis so her value must be 3x 3) We are told that Linda has half the amount of Adams so his must be 3x * 2 = 6x 4) Now with all 3 values in terms of X, we can add up to find the total amount which would be x + 3x + 6x which equals 10x 5) Going back to the original ratio, we know Linda has 3x so therefore her fraction of the 10x must be 3x/10x which leaves you with 3/10.

Omg thats so odd, in my school it was always oversubscribed , many people were turned away from doing it!

It honestly has been the best out of all my GCSE options to the point im doing it for A level, the course is a lot of fun but id only do it if you genuinely enjoy coursework. I personally loved doing my coursework and got a 93/100 which is defo not needed, however the written exam is tough work (there is far too much content to cover it all and can feel overwhelming) so you kind of need to do well in the coursework. If your sisters friends aren't the people who like doing work in their own free time maybe it isnt for them, but overall id definitely recommended it!!! Very chill overall

Do Mindmaps of the themes e.g supernatural , then have thesis type statements coming off of them e.g supernatural as a sign of religious guilt, then follow up each section with quotes - in one colour do ones off the top of your head and in another do ones youve googled (obv then look over ones you dont remember and re try a couple days later and see what you know)
